No longer staying here

Ive stayed her 100x and this was my last. Changes are for upgrades not downgrades. Extra fee fir parking & wifi. Hotel bat is no longer a convenience. Was closed on a Friday and on Saturday, they turned away a FULL bar area with last call at 8pm. Its a shame that the only good thing they have going for themselves is the convenience of location. But the 100's of other locations will now get my business in the future.

There are ants crawling in our room and there are no more rooms for us to change to so the maintenance came up and sprayed raid in our room to fix the issue. Unfortunate.

Incredible Staff

The staff at The Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina is nothing short of amazing! I had spoke to a gentleman on the phone and he was so helpful and pleasant. The woman that checked us in was a doll! The young man that checked us out was super nice. These 3 individuals should give Customer Service lessons to the industry! That alone made our stay wonderful! The room was clean, nice amenities, beautiful view. We're looking forward to staying again!

Great location, central to Newport. It was very easy to park in the private lot. The staff were friendly. The pool was a nice size and clean. The hotel felt a little rundown overall. The bathtub in our room did not look clean and had hairs in it. There is a $35 amenity fee per guest per night that I was not expecting and as far as I can tell, there were no unique amenities. Just the pool.

We checked in Tuesday, feb 25 2025 my wife took a shower Wednesday morning and towels from drying off were brown!! We called front desk to inform them of water problem . They said we will send engineer up to room!! Hotel maintenance man who told us that it’s been a problem and it is being fixed ! We went to front desk and they said to run hot water for 15 minutes and should clear out because it’s an old hotel !! That’s pretty funny and a poor excuse!! And by the way we came here for are 41st anniversary!! Yahoo great memories! 👎👎👎

Very conveniently located & easy walking distance to everything. The hotel was very clean & had a nice restaurant & bar. The only drawback was the restaurant & bar are closed by 9pm on Friday’s & Saturday’s. Not ideal for a hotel when it’s sold out for the weekend.
