Avoid City Express Nogales if you value basic comfort, professionalism, or honesty. I stayed here on February 8, 2026, and my room temperature was locked at 26°C (approximately 79°F). I contacted the front desk, and they sent a maintenance employee who introduced himself as Josué and also claimed he was the manager. Instead of fixing the problem, I was told that 26°C / 79°F was “normal.” It is absolutely NOT normal or acceptable for a hotel room when a guest is clearly uncomfortable. Although there was a thermostat in the room, I could not set the temperature to what I wanted because the hotel centrally controls the system. The hotel controls the power and temperature settings, meaning guests have no real control over the temperature in their own rooms. What was shocking was how unprofessional the situation felt. This employee seemed more concerned with explaining why he couldn’t refund my money than actually resolving the issue. No real attempt to adjust the temperature. No alternative room. No solution. I escalated this to Marriott Bonvoy corporate. Their response was to open a case and say the hotel would contact me within 5 business days. That does nothing for a problem affecting a guest during their stay. Let me be very clear: • 79°F is not a reasonable hotel room temperature. • Guests having no real control over room temperature is unacceptable. • Staff misrepresenting themselves as management is unacceptable. • Telling guests that uncomfortable conditions are “nor
