Nice room…not crazy about the resort
First off the room was clean and well stocked for making breakfast or lunch. We always eat dinner somewhere out. Check in is nuts first of all you have to go to Thomas Vacations to check in and all they do after you wait in line is give you a paper with your reservation numbers, which I already have. Then you have to go to the resort, try to find a place to park in the bottom to unload and then stand in line again to check in and get room keys and pool bracelets which nobody wears. The thing that I found totally disgusting was the pool area. There are two small outdoor pools, a kids fountain pool and lazy River plus an indoor pool. When I asked about restrooms I found out you have to get in the elevator and go up a floor or two to find the bathroom. I sat there my first day and watched….no children and very few adults actually left the pool area unless they were packing up. Avista is more or less inviting people to pee in their pool. Both outdoor pools were cloudy every day. Needless to say, but we spent time on the beach and other area pools because they don’t check either. Our front room TV didn’t work all week, it turned on but would get no picture. My wife called the front desk on two separate days and they said they would send someone but nobody showed. I called the second day was told that we rented our unit from a third party so they wouldn’t fix the TV. I called Thomas Vacations, was told it was too close to quitting time to send someone. Guy next day never fixed it
