The staff was nice. Food is terrible. The Italian restaurant is the equivalent of pasta out of a can. Pool was green with bugs. And don’t try to leave, they won’t refund you. Worst hotel ever. Also, many people smoking illegal substances on balconies, so you can’t even enjoy a smoke free environment. Save yourself the hassle and go stay at a motel.

We appreciated the elevated experience of this resort. Some of our favourite things about the preferred club access were eating at Oceana for breakfast and lunch, the hydrotherapy experience and receiving a beach bag upon arrival. The property was elegant and beautiful with plenty of space. We loved exploring and finding intimate areas to enjoy the beauty quietly. The hammocks, the swings at the bar, the small pools along the ocean. These were all beautiful spaces that felt serene and quiet. It was lovely to find good shade spots on the beach but the early bird gets the worm. It is unfortunate that there is a culture of hogging a spot of shade even if people are not at those spots most of the day. We found the staff to be very professional and the care for the property did not go unnoticed. It was consistently cleaned and we were very impressed with the work done to control the seaweed accumulation. It is no small task and the workers made it so that we could access the ocean without trudging through seaweed. We barely saw any garbage on the beach or by the pools which helped to uphold the overall beauty and experience of the resort.

This is a very nice all-inclusive. We enjoyed most of the food. Especially the Asian and Italian restaurants. Oceana was also very nice for preferred access breakfast and lunch. The buffet was pretty mediocre in my opinion - much preferred the a la carte options. We were a group of 6, so if we didn't get to dinner early enough, we typically had to wait 3-40 mins. Not a huge deal, but reservations would be a nice touch to add to preferred benefits. I did feel the preferred upgrade was worth it over all. We also really enjoyed using the pickleball court. We brought our paddles are were ready to play daily, so this was a nice addition to the resort for us. We enjoyed the preferred pool as well. Nightlife was ok. We stayed out late one night, Desires was hopping. Another night we wanted to partake again and there was nothing going on, so we opted for bed instead. This is a GREAT community. We loved being able to hop on a golf cart and check out the town. A lot of great restaurants to try if you're wanting to get off the resort. The staff were great. Overall we had a very nice stay here and I would recommend this place to others.

Service at the resort was impressive. A few of the workers stood out, such as the buffet hostess who remembered our names and always smiled, Anita in the lobby, and the woman in the Asian restaurant who delivered our drinks. These women were hard workers. I was very pleased that we were assigned a room close to the elevator as requested. I wish your pool/beach loungers were more comfortable and that there were more chairs (not just loungers) around the pools.

We took advantage of the Spa 3 times while we were there. Julieta is AMAZING! I highly recommend you book your services with her! The hallways tend to echo into room.

Our family of four had a wonderful 8-day stay this month at Dreams Puerto Aventuras. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, friendly, and helpful. Our rooms were spacious and clean, there were several restaurant options (no reservations required), and a beautiful beach area. The pools were also clean and well maintained. Outside the property is a marina with multiple restaurants and shops, all within walking distance, and we felt safe walking through the entire area with our children. The only caveat I would give to prospective guests is this (and this is no fault of the Dreams staff, just something to be aware of): we were offered an option to tour another Hyatt resort in the area - in exchange, we were told we would get breakfast at the other resort, a tour of Tulum afterwards, and two tickets to Xel-Ha to use another day. Dreams staff did tell us "they'll try to sell you something," so we thought we had an idea of what we were walking into. We figured we could handle sitting through a high-pressure sales pitch in order to get a couple of tickets and save $300. This was the first time we'd ever done something like this so maybe this is the norm, but it was wild and so, so uncomfortable. I'm limited in characters here, so I'll summarize by saying it wasn't the 90min tour we were told we were taking - it took us 3 1/2 HOURS to get away from the Hyatt Vacation Club sales staff and get them to agree to let us leave. Not worth the $300 in tickets we were given.

My son was injured on the water slide. We signed the waiver, so I guess that's our fault for letting him do it, but it was more dangerous than it appeared for smaller kids and should not be allowable without a weight requirement. Food and drink were good and easy to get a table without waiting. Swimming area was nice, especially for young kids. More rocky that I expected on the beach. Staff were all very helpful.

We recently stayed with our two young boys and this resort was perfect for our trip. The pools and beach were well maintained, always with something to do. The staff was amazing, and we all had a great time. The resort itself is smaller, but that worked well for us, but it seemed well maintained. Our favorite restaurants were Oceana for breakfast and Gohan and the Italian for dinner, the buffet worked well for the kids at lunch.
