Hazardous Room #304
First night was good and without incident. Second night we were tired from a long day. We settled into bed, and a few moments later the headboard became detached from the wall and fell onto our heads. We did not seem injured only shocked that such a thing would happen. Upon inspection we could tell that the wall had been repaired improperly before. Looking at the bracket I could tell this had happened before. Mounting screws were way too short. The front desk attendant quickly offered to change our room. The new room was not as nice as the original.
It was along the road and a bit noisy. The next day the manager, Shuja Mumtaz, was extremely apologetic and sincere. He took a detailed report as I wanted to be sure no one else suffers this problem, The manager did offer us another room but at that point I did not want to move again. The rest of the stay was without incident. Kudos to the staff for excellent service. However I did notice that I had a bump on my head for a few days. By the time I reached home the bump was going away so I did not seek medical attention.
Overall, this is a great place to stay. I would definitely stay again. Stuff happens, we deal with it and we move on. Shuja and his staff took great care of us under the aformentioned conditions. I hope that someone at Hilton reads this and reaches out to me.
