We parked in an area clearly marked "Marriott". Upon check-in, the front desk (very nicely and kindly) suggested I move my car to a totally new area. I was very happy to receive this advice because where we had parked was $56 a night and moving the car would be $20 a night. We had to leave the garage, we were tired, and as out of town guests had to make more than one attempt. It would have been wonderful if the hotel had sent us an email or text about parking before we arrived. However, the front desk was incredibly patient and detailed the parking directions more than once. Also, we had 4 people in our party, but were given 3 towels. We had to ask for additional towels late in the night when we figured it out. With a very early flight (the reason we were staying overnight in Philadelphia in the first place) we had to wait up for the towel delivery. It was very nice of them to give us more towels though. The convenience of flying American Airlines is worth it as the hotel is quiet, clean, and very nice.

Great place to stay for early flights

If you have an early flight this is a great place to stay. You can walk to gates but be prepared because it gets busy (we had a 4:20 am departure and got there at 3:45 am and still took us over to 30 minutes to get through TSA).

This hotel is so convenient if you have an early flight out of Philadelphia. It's a little dated in terms of the room/carpets, but the bed was comfortable and the room clean.

Overall, my experience with the hotel was fine, but the restaurant was understaffed for breakfast. Initially, we were the only customers in the restaurant. We ordered coffee, but only my wife received a mug. I inquired about a mug for me, and the waitress huffed that someone else was supposed to bring me one. Then, two new customers sat at a table next to us, and the same waitress immediately brought them mugs. I never received coffee! I was mystified: did I say something to offend the waitress? After we ordered breakfast, customers occupied five other tables. They were served breakfast, paid, and left while we were still awaiting ours. We politely asked twice about our ordered breakfast, but the waitress turned rude and surly. It was surreal. After an hour's wait, the staff seemed to vanish, so we left, never receiving our ordered breakfast. We were nothing but polite during the whole breakfast misadventure, but it felt like we had offended someone. It was so bizarre, we were never upset by the experience. It was such poor service as to be laughable.

Located right next to the PHL airport. Hotel is very clean, staff are super friendly, beds are comfortable. Does provide transportation to the airport or you can walk directly from the hotel to the airport. Does NOT have a park and pay option.

Going beyond

After many airline delays and having been rerouted, we arrived in Philadelphia tired and hungry early in the morning. Evelyn at reception was friendly and accommodating. She worked hard and was able to get us in a room by 8am before regular check in time. We were able to rest a couple of hours before our long flight to Athens. She was a life saver.
