The hotel is fairly old, so there was wear and tear throughout my room (permanent stains in carpet/upholstery, cracks on wall fixtures, gaps/cracks in sink fixtures, etc.) There were areas that I think could have been cleaned better (shower ceiling, room phone, patio furniture, walls, etc.) Some things I cleaned myself, but for the most part, I let it be.
I’m not sure why, but my skin was really itchy the first night. I decided to pull up the sheets and noticed a stain. The next morning I came across the (extremely nice) housekeeper and she changed the sheets and comforter with no hesitation. Unfortunately, the next evening, I decided to check the bedding before going to bed and noticed another stain on the mattress protector (looked like old blood). I decided to just sleep on top of everything since it was so late and I was checking out the next morning.
My other issue was the direct oceanfront view I purchased. To the right of my balcony were the other hotels, establishments and city view. The center and left of the balcony was the view of the beach/ocean. I asked the front desk staff which rooms were considered direct ocean view and they gave me the range in which my room was the start of the range. It’s unfortunate because I was looking forward to having (solely) a direct ocean/beach view.
During check out, I wasn’t asked how my stay was.
On a better note, the hotel is directly on the beach, has restaurants and stores attached to the property and onsite parking.
