Overall good stay, clean rooms for the most part, pool and new restaurant was nice. What wasn’t very good was getting room service and towels….had to make multiple trips to front desk daily just to get towels.

realizing it was one of older hotels around, it looked it.. old and tired.. housekeeping and maintenance needs serious improvement.. air return vents very dusty.. ceiling leak from upstairs bathroom, not checked on, regardless to front desk notification from us hours earlier... serious need for remodeling.. expected more for the price

We came in on a sunday and it was super crazy , Monday nights they do fireworks which is why we wanted to get there night before. But we got there and it was such a rush for people trying to get out and people in ,there is only 1 elevator that was rough. So we get there my room wasnt cleaned right. I feel the rush of sunday they kinda did a quick clean up , so i complained and they put me in another room we head over to this room new room that was assigned and the person that had room was still there packing to leave At this point i was ready to leave this hotel But after talking to manager Mickey Carboni she explained how sorry she was and was super nice upgraded our room ,removed our resort fees and The rest of our stay i was so happy. I stayed because just being there in the area and waking up to that view and beach right infront of you every morning out weighed the bad , if your looking for 5 star hotels down there by beach I doubt you will find alot , the hotels need work but overall they were ok and the atmosphere and the help of a great manager she continued to check in with me also gave me a late check out. We cant wait to come back!

Rough around the edges. Doors could use cleaning, hall carpet was dirty looking, but they shampooed it during our stay and was much better. In the room, the baseboards and tile grout needs some TLC. Housekeeping is by request only. They'll drop off stuff like linens, towels, TP, coffee. But if you want the floor cleaned you need to request it. We just dealt with sandy feet all week, no biggie. The bar & pool was really cool. Pool was 3ft at one end, 5ft at the other. The happy hour prices were average for a bar. Expected higher due to the convenience of being on site. Food was ok. The chicken they put on my salad and my wife's quesadilla was very bland. You pay for what you get, and even though it could be nicer, it was well worth it for the price and location.

I did like the property location and the staff was friendly. The parking situation was very bad. There was not enough parking at the hotel location, so some people had to park across the street or two blocks away where Tidelands had extra parking. The microwave in our room was very rusted inside; maintenance did come the next day and replace it. There seemed to be a towel shortage because we always had to request and then wait a long time for clean towels. I think that Tidelands could and should do better.

Location is good on boardwalk. Drinks and food at the pool bar and restaurant were good. Trying to get towels was extremely hard should not be the guests responsibility to try and get towels it was a joke. Parking wasn’t great there were only enough spots for about half of the guests at the hotel the other parking required you to walk a few blocks.

Beach outing

I was actually impressed with the condition on the room after visiting several beach hotels, this one was clean and had no musty small. The space was perfect for a short stay for a family of 6. We arrived at 3am and it was an easy check in. We did have to get our own towels and blankets for the sofa bed but that wasnt a huge hinderence. I would visit again for a longer stay.

Sorry....But We Will Not Return.

Location to the beach was excellent. Room was OK...could use a deep, deep clean. Beds were super comfortable. The most frustrating part about the trip was the trash bins (with full trash bags in them) and maid carts sat in the hall right in front of our door for our entire stay. We had an awful time getting our luggage cart to our room. I called the front desk and ask of the bins and carts were going to stay there the entire time we were going to be there...her response "Um Yea". I asked to have the GM meet me at the room to discuss. She did come up a few minutes later and apologized and moved them down a bit from our door, but they were right back in front of our door the rest of our stay. The parking was HORRENDOUS! One car only. We saw multiple cars with no placard in the lot and when we asked to purchase an extra one, we were told an absolute no... that there was no room for extra cars...no crap...when random people are parking there and the staff does not enforce the rules. This was a pretty pricy hotel even through Hotels.com. We have stayed there before, and our stay was beautiful. Sadly, we will not return. For what we paid we will be able to find a nicer place to stay. Sorry Tidelands!
