Good overall but stale smelling

The hotel seemed clean but had a stale smell in the second floor hallway and the room. It smelled like dirty carpet and or dirty vacuum cleaner. The smell was overwhelming when you entered the room.

Great welcome from front desk staff person. Very friendly and gave my dog a treat when I brought her in. Great Thai restaurant down the street. Close to rec trails for walking.

The property could use an upgrade. In the bathroom- paint peeling, shower curtain rod wobbly, some mildew around the bottom of the outside of the tub in hard to reach places to clean. The bed slept well however didn’t seem to have much support. The breakfast was good each day except the last day (Thursday). The biscuits were cold. Staff solution- there’s toast. Nothing was done to remedy that. (I stayed Sat-Thur and hadn’t seen this staff member prior.) I would definitely stay again. Minor issues, good service and people.

The one thing that impressed me the most was when we arrived and got our room. We noticed the room had a very bad smell, and when you turn the air conditioner to heat or cold, the smell got stronger we went to the front desk, expecting to hear so sorry and there’s nothing I can do but instead, I was impressed. I expressed my feelings and she gave us another room. That went a long ways. I just don’t feel I could’ve done two nights with that odor
