Excellent stay

We stayed here for one night en route from Dunedin before doing Mount Cook the next day. We have been in NZ for over a month now and I must say that this stay ranks amongst the best motels we've stayed in. The room was v clean, comfy bed, well equipped, great shower.

This was the perfect place to stay after several days hiking around the South Island of NZ. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus as I was able to do a load of laundry after being on the road for a week.

The studio room had everything we required as a great place to stop off for an overnight stay. The centrally located motel gave us easy access to restaurants and car charging.

The Sierra Motel was exceptionally clean, the bed was comfy, and dishes were provided to use in the small kitchenette in our room. The staff was very friendly and they made the check in process sooo smooth. The room felt updated, the AC worked great, and you can tell the property is well taken care of. Highly recommend staying at the Sierra Motel!!

Loved this place. The room was freshly updated. Great kitchen with a washer/dryer (tho i couldn’t quite get the dryer bit to work) and even a small dishwasher. Big fridge. Been traveling in NZ for about three weeks - this is definitely the best place we’ve had. Would stay here again for sure.

Very nice little motel, doesn’t look like anything special from the outside but everything is new and clean inside! Kitchen/fridge were great; nice clean updated bathroom and comfortable bed. However … the wifi was nonexistent in our place. Not sure if it was just because we were in room 15 which was tucked away in a corner. As soon as we went outside towards the parking area we got wifi. So if you are going to need wifi during your stay definitely don’t end up in #15!
