This hotel is a traditional Japan hotel. Loved that right when you enter they clean your luggage wheels and have you remove your shoes. They have hot springs here which we did not use due to we have tattoos. Location is great.
We enjoyed our time and rooms here! It is very close to the heart of dotonbori and there are unlimited options of what to do and eat. It is also close to the shopping areas of Osaka.
I left my shades here and they called me to tell me about it and they shipped it to me!
Staff is great and overall it is a great stay for quiet rooms and 10/10 area.
I chose Onyado Nono because of the onsen yet this hotel turned out the best accommodation we booked for Japan holiday. First when we checked in, the staff are friendly and accommodating; the location is so central from Dotonbori, train station, restaurants and shops. We booked the one with cleaning services and they do clean the room very well and replenish the amenities. On top of that, you can enjoy Japanese ryokan experience and be barefoot and relax in the onsen. Okay all of these awesome things don't even stop here, they're so thoughtful and provide free yakult, popcicles and soba for supper. My kids don't even want to leave this hotel!
The hotel provides good vibe of staying like the ryokan style, we enjoyed the hot springs very roomy and place is alway attended by hotel staffs to keep very clean and tidy, we liked the additional service provided by hotel, late night noodle service, ice cream in the afternoon and yakult drinks in the morning.. breakfast had many Japanese dishes to choose from and all very delicious..only thing, we didn’t like was the room was bit too small..
Overall it's a nice little hotel in a great location and close to trains. We love the evening complimentary udon and icecreams. The few dissatisfactions are that the rooms need trash bins in the bathroom areas. There is one bigger bin near the beds. I prefer to keep the tatami area clean and not have to carry bathroom trash into the room. The onsen is small and is crowded in the evening. The changing room cleanliness needs to be upkept. The sinks and floor are full of hair and garbage left by other visitors who failed to clean after themselves. Not completely the hotel's problem but perhaps could increase staff cleaning during peak time. We would stay again and might try other branches.
We were not fully satisfied with our 3-night stay. The bedding was not changed during our entire stay, and even though my child was sick and used up all the tissues, they were never refilled.
One thing I’m not sure about—when I first booked, I listed 2 adults. Later, I read online that children need to be included separately in Japan (I live in the U.S. and wasn’t aware of this rule), so I updated the guest information to 2 adults and 1 child. The room type stayed the same, but I was charged an extra fee. Just something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with a child. I do like the location of the hotel, very convenient.
Be prepared for tourists! Great location but unlike the other locations in this chain, this particular one attracts A LOT of tourists. It is quite crowded and busy throughout the property including the restaurant and the onsen. Also be prepared that this is tatami style so shoes off every time you get to the lobby. Staff is sooo nice and tries to help as much as possible.
We love having the traditional Japanese feel while being close to the bustle of Dotonbori. The onsen is a welcome relief after walking 20k steps daily. Staff was exceptional!
Overall, a good stay.
I really liked the onsen — very peaceful and clean.
Staff were polite. But some aspects felt just okay rather than outstanding. It wasn’t the most memorable place I’ve stayed at, but it was comfortable and did the job. Great location.
