This hotel is a very nice boutique hotel in Tacoma at a great price. Rooms are well appointed, hotel floors have lovely glass artwork and the lobby is architecturally lovely. Bed was very comfortable, and free robes were available upon request.

The Hotel Murano has interesting architecture and art on the walls, the restaurant has tasty food, and its location in downtown Tacoma worked for us. The staff was wonderful! The hotel itself is worn, threadbare upholstery in the dining room, dining tables that were so worn the varnish was tacky, and the dining room flooring was worn through. We couldn’t get the shower to turn off, although the staff was able to turn it off. I don’t think that there were many guests there which was too bad. It looked like the hotel hadn’t recovered well from the impact of Covid. I hope that things improve for the staff and hotel.

Located in Tacoma, we had plans in Bremerton and Seattle. This gave us a central location to stay. With our One Key welcome beverages, our stay was relaxing and we will stay here again when we’re visiting from Portland.

The area of location was ideal for my trip, but after checking into the hotel, my expectations weren’t met as far as the rooms looking nothing like the ad on Expedia. The overall hotel was nice, like the lobby and bar area, but the rooms were outdated with scratched, old-style furniture and the restroom lighting was horrific as well. I don’t think I will be returning to the Murano. Save your money and spend the extra bucks to book at the Marriot down the street.
