This hotel was incredibly underwhelming and filthy. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the carpet in the lobby was stained and littered with crumbs. The staff at the desk was not helpful nor pleasant and gave us false information about check out times.
When we entered our room, we were met with dirty linens and a carpet that looked as if it had not been vacuumed since the hotel first opened in 2014. When booking this hotel, we had no idea that our reservation included complimentary toenail clippings near the bed and hair in the bathroom drain.
When the issues with our room were brought to the staff's attention more than once, they laughed at the absurdity of the situation and offered no solution.
In addition to the issues with the cleanliness of our room, we also experienced problems with our shower. The water took over three minutes to come to a temperature that was tolerable to shower in and the faucet barely let out a trickle. Periodically, the water would become scalding hot and then freezing cold.
The last night of our stay coincided with New Year's Eve as well as an all night rager that ended at 5:30 in the morning. Between the music loud enough that our beds vibrated and the incessant fireworks, we got little to no sleep. When we inquired about a delayed check out, we were told that we would have to pay an exorbitant fee.
We would not recommend the Sortis hotel to anyone who likes clean sheets, pleasant showers, and a good night of sleep.
