Our initial experience when arriving coloured our stay. Despite having advised the hotel of a late check in (that they assured us would be fine) we had an awful experience, waiting for ages for someone to let us in, being told there was no room for etc and that we would have to stay in a “spare” room in an alternate building which was not made ready for us. The attitude and response of the management was very poor and didn’t seem to care about the issues caused nor apologise.
Staff were polite, helpful and courteous. Room was in need of maintenance and upkeep. Kitchen light did not work. Only one single lounge chair provided in a 1 bedroom apartment obviously designed to accommodate 2 people. Bedside lamp did not work. Insufficient signage in basement carpark to clearly show which direction to lifts. Insufficient signage on residential levels to show which lifts could be used to access the basement carpark without going to ground level and finding the other lift. A small final matter but inconvenient is that coffee in the breakfast area was instant coffee and hot water. Surely hot brewed coffee is now the minimum standard without having the order it and pay extra at the breakfast area reception.
Great position for access to the fabulous South Back but hotel is rather tired

Rooms are starting to show their age. Very low shower pressure. Everything starting to look aged. Love the location and staff always friendly and undercover parking great.
Josh on the front desk was very helpful. Will always come back here for a well priced and comfortable stay. Close to everything.

Having advised the hotel of late arrival and phoned twice as well, the hotel failed to provide the access codes to collect keys (which they had promised). We eventually were let in to reception to be told that we would be staying in a temporary room for the night! We were eventually told the booking was in the system and taken to room where the night manager felt it necessary to knock on the door - as though half expecting it to be occupied. The room is also not what we booked. Just appalling.
