Property overall was really nice. Great tropical aesthetic, landscaping well taken care of and pools nicely designed. The rooms though could have been nicer. They’re nice but quite small and not sealed off from outside apparently. I was stung by a scorpion on my first night and response for this should have been faster. They just gave us free massages for the inconvenience.

When it rained the roof in our room leaked pouring water into living, we were told that they had made several attempts to impair this, but that it's still leaked every time a heavy rain came. The staff left towels and buckets from when it rained to the end of our stay. It was not a $1500 a night room because water pouring in.

We absolutely loved our stay! The lobby was very far from our room and required transportation to reach, and with such a short stay, we didn't get back there for our VIP benefit. In my opinion, they should have had it ready for us when we arrived so we wouldn't have to chase them for it.

We stayed at Secrets Papagayo for 3 nights. The property is very nice with rooms spread in different areas. Very nice (public) beach area on site. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We liked the view from our room on the ocean However we were very disappointed by the food at the buffet and in various restaurants, it was not the quality expected and was less than average. We thought that drivers transporting guests on different places at the property were driving way too fast making it unsafe for pedestrians guests. We had to be very careful not to be in their way while walking in the resort!

Stayed several places before id say this one was average. The rooms are nice. Views are great. Food was better in town. Jet ski rentals were awesome though. Couldnt get into the spa for 3days. Close to some parks though.

I really enjoyed our week stay here. The place is very hilly, but we didn't mind so much. You have to make sure you snag chairs by the pool early because it gets HOT in the afternoon and you don't want to get stuck under the sun. The staff was all extremely friendly. I could tell some of them appreciated when you talked in Spanish, they seemed to not expect it from most people, but then got excited when you understood. The food was all great, our favorite was the Asian restaurant. The bartenders know what they are doing, we asked for random things and they always gave us something good!
