We had a lovely stay at Pousada Recanto. The staff are helpful and the breakfast was impressive, a full spread of eggs, fruit and pastries. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach and a 15 to 20 minute walk into the historic center. Rustic and friendly.

Best Pousada ever (aka bed and breakfast) ... great breakfast, AC is very efficient and quiet... day and nights personnel is very friendly and helpfull... go do a boat toor to go swims around island... they are not speaking english but honestly you dont need it... the city is verrly safe as well.

Noisy room, remote location, poor beach access

The hotel is generally pleasant with friendly staff, but my experience was unfortunately disappointing on several points. My room was right next to the reception, which made it very noisy at night. People were talking loudly, sometimes after 10 p.m., despite a sign asking for silence. I recommend avoiding room 16 if you want to sleep well, especially if you’re sensitive to noise. Breakfast starts at 8 a.m., which is too late for travelers with early departures. No alternative like a takeaway option is offered—something quite common elsewhere. This lack of flexibility is inconvenient and frustrating. The hotel is far from the city center. Although technically covered by Uber, it’s very hard to find one. A few local drivers use the app, but most taxis set prices based on Uber estimates—then charge even more. Taxis are expensive, scarce, and wait times are long. This makes getting around stressful and can really affect your overall trip experience. Another surprising and disappointing detail: there was no shampoo provided in the room—something I’ve never encountered before in a hotel, regardless of category. Lastly, I chose this hotel because of its location near the beach, but it was a letdown. The beach is muddy, stagnant, full of mosquitoes, and definitely not suitable for swimming or relaxing. In short, I regret booking this hotel. For comfort, convenience, and a proper beach, I recommend staying closer to the city center.

Perfeito os dias na pousada.

Incrível, gostei muito do atendimento recepção, limpeza dos quartos e pousada, só senti falta de uma tela de proteção contra mosquito no quarto, mas nada que tenha causado problema. Voltarei com certeza.

Muito boa porém existe alguns pontos de melhoria

Funcionários muito simpaticos,café da manhã gostoso! Pontos de melhoria : Adoraria ter tapioca como opção no café ….e a pousada possui piscina aquecida porém a equipe não estava atenta aos detalhes …..e quando fui utilizar estava desligado o aquecimento …..eu notei isso e outros hóspedes também e foi bem chato NÃO poder desfrutar do benefício ….uma pena! Por ser localizada numa área de muita vegetação a pousada oferece spray para insetos mas para quem tem alergia a picadas de insetos é importante levar repelente(tomadas SBP etc…)para aproveitar com mais conforto.
