Great place

Everyone was very professional and customer service was a bonus. I loved everything about this place except the mattress. It has been over used and was sinking in the middle. Perhaps a bit of an upgrade is in the future. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Great stay

Incredibly comfortable. The only negative, was the added on "resort fee" that wasn't revealed in the original booking. Aside from that, this place was amazing! Beautiful views. Secluded. And the food at the restaurant was excellent.

The outdoor surroundings were peaceful and serene. The cabin we stayed in was made of logs and rustic but it had all the modern amenities and spacious. Staff are very helpful and polite. Restaurant food is good! The cobbler desserts are very tasty!

Absolutely love Kohls Ranch! We come here every chance we can. Jenn is always so nice and accommodating and Heather helped us get pool chairs when there was none available. So sweet. The bar and restaurant are fantastic! Liz and Lizzy are the best ! The food is so good. They home cook everything. Every soup I’ve ever had was amazing! Can’t wait to come back !

Reserved a Studio which I have done for years but was given a studio Efficiency which doesn’t have a kitchen. They said it was Expedia’s fault however I’ve never had this issue before. Wasn’t too happy about it but other than that the stay was great.

The first night there was great. We spotted an elk drinking at the creek and it was very relaxing. We had a great dinner at the restaurant. The next day turned into a nightmare. A group of people put chairs in the creek right behind our cabin and were partying in the creek. They had large breed dogs. The kind a hotel usually wouldn’t allow. The cake topper was one of the partiers swimming suits bordered on obscene. It might have been legal but in the past 20 hotel nights I’ve stayed at, most of which were on water, including various beaches, I have not seen that sort of display. I’m no prude but little kids were fishing in the creek and it felt like a burlesque show. There’s places for that sort of thing like an adult pool in Vegas, but I surely didn’t expect that sort of vibe from a close to $400 a night cabin at Kohl’s Ranch. Since the atmosphere turned so sour that second day I asked the front desk for a refund for that second night as I intended on leaving and finding a more family friendly hotel as I was traveling with my wife and daughter. Instead of showing any empathy whatsoever I was given a stern talking to from the lady at the front desk about how the creek is public property and “the owners” can do what they want. Not once did the front desk lady apologize or empathize or see things from my perspective. We promptly packed the car and left. It was the worse experience we’ve had in 25 years.
The first day of our stay was great, we were treated to this Elk who came to drink from the creek.

Property was pristine! So much to do. Enjoyed fishing, corn hole, miniature golf, hiking, table games (Loteria-Mexican bingo). So much more to do and play. Picnic tables and grills by the creek to enjoy lunch under massive shade trees. Restaurant had fantastic food choices. Very friendly neighbors and staff.

This is a gem only a little over an hour from our home in Phoenix. It was our first time here although I have wanted to stay here since I was a kid. The room was lovely, the grounds clean and fresh, and the amenities excellent. Great pool, and every room has a balcony for sitting in the great outdoors. Also, if you go, have the Blueberry Cobbler at the restaurant. You will thank yourself.
