A fantastic resort. Staff were wonderful food was delicious and yhe neach and pools were in great shape. We were there in March so a little off season so it was not crowded which was great. Found several bars and restaurants very close to the resort. Met fellow travellers and had a great time . Weather was hot and the ocean was relaxing. Didn't do that spa but heard it eas good. Recommend this place to anyone.

Best Christmas Ever!

This place is comfortable, clean, and the staff are wonderful! Kudos to the cooking staff who make the freshest and most delicious breakfast buffet. Too many choices. The two pools are great and even the beach front is kept very clean by the staff compared to other beach sites. We will happily stay here again next year and hope to bring more friends and family. Thank you for the beautiful memories.

A relaxing 2 day break.

In general we had a great stay, our room was super, the gardens were stunning, the pool areas clean and the attendant at poolside most observant and helpful. Disappointed with reception staff - being lazy English, haven't a clue about Vietnamese language - expected their communication skills to be much better. Breakfast choice not brilliant, particularly cereals, especially as vegetarians. Possibly all this was brushed aside by the excellent Spa and Massage facilities - enjoyed a superb massage on my 75th Birthday!

Lovely relaxing place to stay over Christmas

We had a very time-slowing experience at this beautiful beachside resort after lots of travelling around. A good central location along the bay, lovely gardens, big pools, right on the soft and pretty sandy beach, big variety of breakfast. Definitely a good choice.

We were disappointed when we saw our rooms.

The rooms did not look or match the gallery we saw online. It should be rated 2 stars hotel. The shower head was install horizontal direction of the wall and pointed to the curtain. It didn't point to your head/body and it couldn't be adjust so you had to hold it while taking a shower. The bath tub surrounding were built odd making the big a mess. Water runs every where and on the floor. The towels are very worn out and have an awful smell. Like cheap soap. The foods and quality are ok.

A decent stay but I wouldn't rush back

I stayed in this hotel for a week in late September / early October. The arrival at the hotel after a long journey from Saigon was underwhelming; the receptionist couldn't muster a smile and the whole process was very clinical. The room was comfortable and equipped with all of the facilities that you would expect; the room was not however as clean as I might have expected and the shower door was broken (the seal had broken which resulted in water running across the bathroom floor each time I had a shower). I also found that the safe did not work; housekeeping arrived to fix it and failed and told me that an engineer would arrive in the morning to fix it. I heard no more about it for the duration of my stay. I was then awoken before 7am the following morning by the demolition works that are taking place on the old part of the hotel; I appreciate that the works have to be undertaken at some point but before 7am...? Now for the positive. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens which are maintained to a very high standard. There are two pools both of which are a good size and very clean. The resort has it's own private beach which again is kept very clean and tidy. I did not eat in the restaurant other than breakfast which was a decent Vietnamese fair. As for the area in which the resort is located, it is fantastic for kite surfing but there is not a huge amount else there.

Summer beach resort rating

the garden and the pool s beautiful. the beach water is not very clear, the wavy is quite good to swing. The breakfast is very good. do not recommend the seafood pizza, it is not Italian pizza, the chef need to have real cooking Italian food from a real Italian chef. Need to sale cool coconut drink. the entertainment room need to fix.do not trust the sauna massage Ad, it said free gift of 20 minute, you need to check your watch when they started the massage and what time when they finished, because I heard the lady manager had told her staff to do less hour, and she did not realized I can understand Vietnamese. That is very bad for a 4 stars resort had dishonest when come to sale their service product.

Nice hotel for the money

Stayed here for 7 nights in a standard room which was comfortable and clean. The pool is beautiful and the breakfast is fine. It is also in a good location on the strip. The one thing that I didn't like was the staff seemed to start working at around 7am doing housekeeping and maintenance, not the end of the world but we did get woken up everyday! We also stayed at Blue Ocean resort a few hotels down. My opinion would be if you can afford the extra money then stay there! it feels a lot more exclusive, however if Sunny beach is your full budget then it is definately a good option.

Good value hotel

Stayed for initially 2 nights at the hotel and extended another 3 days later. The location is quite good with restaurants and shops around and also with plenty of surfing schools and rentals on the beach. As in most hotels in Vietnam our room was very clean and the bed was really confortable. The bathroom was a bit run down but also clean. The beach section where the hotel is is quite erroded, so suntanning on the beach is difficult during high tide. There are two large swimming pools however we found one of them quite dirty. That didn't bother us much as the other one (which is almost identical) was crystal clear and just waiting for us to jump in! The restaurant is by the pool, but the breakfast didn't impress. The a la carte food for lunch was quite good. Since compared to the neighboring places this one was cheaper we found we got a good value holiday there and can recommend the place.

Sunny Beach Resort

Great swimming pools, our bungalow was perfect right on the beachfront. Nice big beds. There was some confusion upon arrival about our two small children staying in the room with us but it was quickly sorted out by management and another bed was put in our room straight away. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly to us and were always very helpful. Would recommend this hotel as we thought it was really well maintained.

unfortunately they gave us a room next to a renovationg room.. which generate a lot of noise and the workers standing around feel very intimidated,so much for relaxation. ask the receptionist to change to other room but didnt get cos they said all room are booked. and they said cant do anything about it... overall not bad resort, service wasnt great. room was a bit old, the shower need to stop a few time or its flood cos the drainage is blocked..

Great place to relax

A great place to relax (and to practise your Russian language skills). Internet access problems in the room were a problem on the first day, but reliable once the problem was sort out. Staff invariably helpful, friendly and efficient.

Great Location, Great Service, Great Hotel

This is probably one of the better resorts in the area. It is right on the main street and the service is impeccable. It sits right on the beach but also has two amazing pools if you don't want to deal with the sand or strong waves. The only thing is the AC in the room. It keeps the room livable but doesn't really keep it cool even with the fan on. Overall, it is a pretty good place to stay especially for the price.

Awesome Hotel Especially For The Price

It's a five star hotel for a three star price. The pools were amazing, the service was better than expected, and the location was perfect. However, the only problem was the air conditioning in the room. It is pretty weak and fails to keep the room clean despite using the fan and the AC in combination. With that being said, it was a pretty stellar place.

Good location, with 2 very nice swimming pools. Foods were fine and not expensive. But black sand on the beach showed the trace of oil pollution from off shore.

No truly 4 person rooms

Hotel . com advertises most rooms as rooms for 3 persons and 1 kid. This is only true if the kid sleeps with the parents in one bed. According to hotel staff it's not possible to place two extra beds.

We spent our ten days holiday in this hotel from 06.02 to16.02.2013. We knew that the way from Ho Chi Minh City airport to the hotel is approximately 4-4.5 hours, so we booked a car in the hotel in advance. It was very good: when we arrived at 6 pm, the driver was waiting for us at the exit of the airport. A car was a big Toyota jeep, but the roads are so bad in Vietnam, and the driver drove with a speed of 40-60 km / h, so the road to the hotel took us 5.5 hours. We booked a bungalow for two adults and one child. But when we arrived at the hotel at night, in our bungalow was just one big bed. We were forced to sleep all three in the same bed. On the next morning the staff told us that our child is only ten years old (!) and he can sleep with us (!). But if we want a separate bed for the child, then we have to pay for it extra. Be careful if you are planning a vacation in this hotel with a child - book a bed for the child in advance! The rest of our stay was perfect: the hotel offers an extensive breakfast with a large choice fruit; our bungalow was overlooking the sea, 20 meters from the sea, so the beach was very close. Hotel is surrounded by many restaurants, shops, massage parlors. In windy weather of the sea a lot of waves, it is almost impossible to swim, but you can try kite surfing or windsurfing. Our child tried windsurfing and was very pleased. Around the hotel are many travel agents and where you can buy any tour cheap. Have a nice holiday!
