The restaurant was really good and convenient being attached to the hotel. There’s a bunch of food places a block or two away, bars as well. The room was so comfortable I felt like I was home and not at a hotel.

On the surface the property seems very modern and unique but the condition of the building and rooms is very poor. The front desk agent was very kind but it sadly doesn't make up for rooms with horrible AC, very old elevators and hallways that smell like marijuana. My parents changed rooms twice and still didn't have AC in the middle of summer. Valet had some additional fees tacked on, bringing it over $75 a night. Overall the location in the city is appealing but I won't ever stay here again.

The rooms were very humid and there was no way to get the thermostat to be a warmer temperature to dry out the room. The staff are pleasant and tried to be accommodating. The front lobby should be cleaner.

The rooms are small but comfortable , the bed was super comfortable ! The staff was lovely and helpful , I stayed twice well visiting once for a night with my friend and then again for 4 days alone and I felt super safe the area is convenient for food , bars and pubs walking distance to stores and shops and a lot to see ! I will definitely stay again

The style of the hotel and rooms was fun. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast could use some variation (my daughter and I stayed for 8 nights and the breakfast was the same every morning). Overall, had a great stay and will definitely stay here again.

Repair Issue and Communications

The location of the Fairfield was great, and the people we spoke with on staff were friendly. However, we found an issue with a broken pocket door that had come off of its track on our first night there. We called down to the desk and let them know, but nothing was done about it that first night or the following morning. We asked if we could switch rooms to one with a functioning bathroom door, but we were told no. We went down and spoke with the person at the desk later on day two and someone did eventually come and fix it. But for a family of four all sharing one bathroom, it was a challenge to physically lift and try to close the door each time someone needed the bathroom. Ideally rooms would be checked for major issues, though I understand that nobody can catch everything at a busy hotel. However, once the problem was known about, it would have been best if the problem were addressed right away or at least if there was some kind of communication from the hotel regarding what the plan would be.
