Hard to rate because they are undergoing construction converting from Hilton Garden to DoubleTree hilton. Staff was very friendly and helpful. But most of the facilities were behind Construction barriers. Room itself was very nice. Parking and location was also very good. We were only there a short stay for an early morning plane trip.

The property was under construction and was a mess. No signs guiding what direction to go to the correct tower. The room had a balcony but could have stretched out and touched the building next the balcony. The shower head had water that squirted out the side of the shower head so it drenched the floor.

Under Construction!!

Hotel was under construction but it was not stated anywhere in the listing. The pool was completely dirty along with the hot tub that would never heat up the water. The room itself was fine but the old elevator right next to our room was not so fine. We tried to ask for more pillows and towels so we could be more comfortable and lessen the load on cleaning crew to not have to stop but we never got anything unless we called multiple times.

There was a major renovation underway, and the hotel was a mess, with the reception area, hallways and other areas a construction site. It was not pleasant to stay there. Additionally, there was no close-by disabled parking. It was way below what I had expected, though it will be fine, except for disabled parking availability, once construction is finished.

This hotel was terrible. It is under construction and the listing did not inform me of that. Most of the walls are covered in plastic sheeting and tape. There are wires hanging out of the walls and furniture piled in common areas. My daughter’s bed had hair in it and mine smelled like cigarette smoke. The shower had mold. We had to wait 30 minutes in line to check in and then my key card did not work so I had to do it all over again.

Should have stayed at Motel 6

Jacuzzi was down, pool was cold Construction going on downstairs. Lobby was small, dark and host was rude Definitely not ADA accessible - long walk from parking to the hotel(with luggage) and another long walk to the small elevators to get to our rooms We chose a garden view, which included a view of the inoperable pool and jacuzzi, as well as contruction materials and a dead palm, plastic adirondaks on the balcony. Restaurant was only open for breakfast, not all day, no bar as advertized Our AC unit in the room would shut down with a heavy sigh - all night long - got a couple hours of sleep

It was ok not great.

Hot tub and pool were cold, broken heater they could have borrowed heat from the showers almost burned myself. The food was mah tables were wobbly which caused me to spill my coffee everywhere leaves were blowing in the door had a end of days feel to it like the walking dead lol. The room was recently remodeled but strange choices like having the toilet be close to the shower vs centered in the room just awkward and difficult to adjust temperature of shower without being in it. Parking was also a bit annoying having to validate after every time leaving having to waste 10 minutes waiting every time was definitely annoying.

Heater in the room didn’t work. Paid breakfast was terrible. Construction going on. I hadn’t remembered that, the last time I stayed at a Hilton Garden in Carlsbad, it was the same. I won’t forget the next time.
