We had an excellent stay here. I hadn't been to PGH since I was a kid and despite not being familiar, found the neighborhood very walkable for our purposes, plus an easy Uber to nearby neighborhoods. Not only was the nightly on-site happy hour with food a great bonus, the complimentary breakfast had a diverse selection of foods on offer. Early on our first morning, we had to call down to the front desk about a neighboring room loudly playing an instrument. Not only did they follow up with me later to let me know they'd identified the guest and spoken with them, they said they'd arranged an alternative space for them to practice for an upcoming important audition. Great customer service leads with empathy, so I was pleased that the other guest got what they needed as well! One of the staff, potentially a manager (I didn't catch her name but she had short hair) was also particularly attentive to things, to the extent she remembered what cocktail I'd ordered the night before after serving us just one time at the bar. This wasn't technically a business trip for me but I did have to take some meetings and do some work during, and I found the amenities on site and the generously-sized desk in our room to be great for someone who might be traveling for business. The convention center is also literally right down the street, maybe a 5 minute walk. I've never really felt compelled to review a hotel before, but the experience was 10/10 and the staff deserve praise all around.
