We rented 2 rooms. One was late and had to exchange the second one because it smelled like pee and had sticky floors. It was Marathon weekend and Pitt Graduation weekend. The prices were outrageous and you could not exit the parking until Marathon concluded - which they did not tell us. We were here for the Graduation.

Unfriendly staff and overpriced

Hotel is in a great location, but the front desk staff person was very unfriendly and quite honestly rude. Rooms were clean, we were on a higher floor and one elevator was broken which led to some delays. Parking is $45/night which is ridiculous and th price for the stay was overpriced for a Hilton Garden Inn. Basically price gouging because of marathon and graduation weekends, which I understand , but you could at least put a friendly and helpful person to greet your guests for that price. The coffee carafes in the lobby were empty as well. The rooms were clean and plenty of linens

We arrived very late overnight and the check in was smooth and easy. Parking located directly ajacent to the hotel, with an access door. Everything was clean and tidy. Within walking distance of a bunch of lovely dining spots and breweries- which were in the plan of our visit. CVS is right across the street which is super helpful for last minute travel needs. The Market Square was under renovation for our visit, but would be a good feature for someone looking to sit and snack outside in a future visit. All our staff interactions were great, even in our late late arrival which is not always the case everywhere.
