I’ll start with the good…
The actual unit itself was lovely. Great size, great kitchen, very clean and comfortable furniture. It was also in a pretty good location. Close enough to walk to everything but a little on the edge so it wasn’t noisy and didn’t feel busy.
Now for the bad….
This is actually part of a group of buildings/apartments. to check in, I had to walk 2 blocks with my luggage to get to reception. The gym is then a separate business also several blocks away and you have to go to reception each day for a pass.
I specifically booked a rooftop penthouse so that I could have a private terrace. But there was NO privacy (photos are very deceptive). Staff were standing on balconies calling across to each other, staff came to take care of the hot tub without any communication with me and I had Do Not Disturb on the door and the hotel next door looked directly down onto my roof so I had people staring at me while in the space.
My terrace also didn’t have an outdoor lounge as shown in photographs. I raised this with reception on Day 2/4. They did offer that I could change rooms the next day; however, I was expected to pack, check out of my current room by 12 and then wait again until check in for the new room so I declined this.
Finally, the furniture on the roof was old and falling apart (including the outside of the hot tub)
I was just disappointed overall because I paid significantly more money specifically for the terrace and it didn’t at all meet expectations.
