Our stay was excellent! We stayed in privilege which was well worth the upgrade! Our butler was Alan and he was amazing! He checked in with us regularly to make sure we didnt need anything, if we wanted to make a reservation at any of the restaurants or anything else we needed. He even went above and beyond finding something for me off the resort and bringing it to me! We will definitely be back.

Our room was a little bit dirty and needed a proper dusting and some basic repairs. My main annoyance with this resort was the absurd amount of upcharges. We were upgraded to elbeso, I’m grateful we were because otherwise we would not have enjoyed our experience. This resort is full of families and children, the most I’ve ever seen at one resort so if that’s what you are looking for this could be a good one. Tons of kids activities and the Children’s pool looks like a ton of fun. If you are coming as adults without children, pay for elbeso. With the amount of loud families it was nice to have a place to escape it. Honestly I just wouldn’t recommend it if you are adults traveling without children. The night life is significantly lacking for adults. And the dinner shows are quite low budget from the other all inclusives I have visited in this budget. The route 66 manager (small older man, at the front desk) (only late night dining) was incredibly rude. We had a couple unfortunate encounters with him. We were not wasted or looking for confrontation. Honestly I think he was looking for confrontation, he was arguing with his staff also. The front desk was also not good at explaining their policies, I asked about dinner options and they told us we could eat at all the restaurants as much as you’d like but this was false. You can only eat at one fine dining restaurant per 7 day stay unless you pay for the top tier accommodations and access which is called (Privilege).

I wouldn’t go back to this hotel for sure. The room wasn’t that great and the AC never cooled down, when I put it at max level, it made a pretty loud and annoying noise, the door at the shower also made a loud noise when I closed it, making me think that I was going to break it down and believe me, I was as careful as I could but same thing all the time, my family had the same problem as well. The staff was nice, except for one of the host ladies at the Blue Moon restaurant that looked at me from head to toe in such an annoying way because I was wearing sandals. Yes, there is a “dress code” for most of the restaurants and the other host lady told me that I couldn’t eat at the restaurant because I was wearing beach sandals and only if I changed them, she would allow me to enter the restaurant. Like what? I know it’s not their fault but you’re telling that I can’t wear beach sandals to eat at a hotel restaurant that’s located at the beach? Make it make sense please. Overall, I wish I could have my money back and spend it in a nicer hotel where I can eat without getting judged by the staff for wearing beach sandals. And it’s just the hotel in general, I didn’t like it at all.

We had a wonderful day. The room was gorgeous. The pools were beautiful. The beach was lovely. I was about the average age at 52 in the adults only Pool… great service, etc. however, the music was awful. It was on a loop and just heavy beats. I think they would do better with classic rock with the demographic they had in the pool, but other than that, it was beautiful

Stayed for a wedding and had a wonderful vacation. Most of the staff was extremely helpful and attentive, the cleanliness of the rooms and the rest of the resort was spectacular, and we enjoyed the bowling alley and piano bar. The food wasn't great- I certainly had higher expectations for the restaurants. The kitchen staff overcooks everything and it can be tricky to find good food on the resort. Overall our stay was still fantastic and the amenities are great.

My family and I were truly excited to stay at this resort. However, upon arrival, we were told we owed an additional $600 Canadian dollars to stay there. We had fully booked this stay over Expedia and had provided all needed details accurately (e.g., age of my son, number of guests, etc...). They argued that we had paid for an infant and not a four-year-old. We showed them how we had booked a child and reinforced how date of birth etc.. was provided to the resort. They refused to let us check-in until we paid. We felt completely taken advantage of and vulnerable. This was eventually resolved by Expedia (NOT the resort) who continued to deny any wrongdoing. We felt entirely scammed by this resort. Aside from feeling utterly taken advantage of, we were regularly approached on the resort and asked to book additional services in a high-pressure manner (e.g., spa). I have never felt such intense sales tactics within the walls of a resort. When we checked in, we never received a "towel card." This allows you to get towels at the pool. We were told to go back to the front desk to get one. It took four days of regularly going to the front desk, for them to have towel cards in stock. The resort itself is picturesque, but small. There is only one buffet, which frequently had lengthy lines. The food was not bad but did not vary over our week stay there. As a note, many in our travel party become quite sick during our stay. I'm unsure what to credit that too.
