Awful experience, they offered us late check out.. didn’t happen… they offered us an amenity it arrived 3 hours before checking out… No communication within the staff, 4 calls from different staff asking the same question . I’ll never go back to this hotel chain

Food was good, service was good, staff friendly, shows meant for older laid back audience but they will take you to their sister resort for a more party filled vibe. Very good for the price. Only problem was beach was unusable due to seaweed.

This property was absolutely stunning! They work very hard accommodating your needs. The only thing that was not the best was ordering room service. The food was not that great, however the restaurants, etc were amazing! Def will be back!

Property was just okay. Dining options were not great and don’t even bother with the Italian restaurant! It was awful!! For a group of 8 of us, every option that was served looked and tasted like freezer meals. No one ate their food there. The hibachi was definitely the BEST of all the choices. Be warned, men HAVE TO WEAR PANTS AND CLOSED TOED SHOES TO DINE IN restaurants except the buffet. Night club was dead every night we were there and we did not try the theatre. The beach was God awful and such a disappointment. The seaweed stench and mountains of it that lined the beach made it inaccessible, tho that is not the resorts fault. Just know if you’re looking for a hotel with beach access, our trip was ruined because of this. Also, I caution you using the ATM on site for American money. It said my transaction went through and it never gave me my money. The hotel said it was not there machines and so I had to file a claim with my bank to get my money back. I’ll probably never stay in playa del Carmen again. Cancun was definitely 1,000 x’s better!! Housekeepers were so sweet and amazing btw!!!! Oh and definitely would recommend the spa massages!!!

For our first trip in Mexico and on a resort my partner and I had a good time. But by the end of the trip we realized our stay could have been better. The staff are amazing most being kind and striking up genuine conversations (not just I’m getting paid to be nice). We were able to take a shuttle to 5th avenue and book an Itzá tour right at the hotel which was convenient, easy, and safe. But one the main problems was the food selections. As a Canadian if I’m going to Mexico I don’t want American food at all (or at least do a fusion). Room service food was meh/bad, buffet was tasty and good, the Italian restaurant was great. Unfortunately the best meals we had were at the Italian restaurant or at the one of restaurants on 5th avenue. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach which would have been understandable if management tried to have it cleared better. You would see a small team working to clear it but management could employ more man power. And they only tried to clear it once a day I think. But that didn’t stop us from reading at the beach because there are good chairs there. Overall it was fun and we had a good and safe time. But it could have been better.

I was under the impression that hotel was all inclusive. There is up charge and hidden fees everything. The sauna and steam room up charge.. aroma Indian restaurants was not really Indian.

Absolutely beautiful property! Felt intimate and quiet while still offering plenty of programs and activities. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, even providing a bottle of champagne and a plate of chocolates on the second evening of our stay because we told them at check in that we were celebrating an anniversary. All of the food we had was amazing, but our favorites came from the taco cart by the main pool and the ceviche at the beach bar. Beach was impassable with all the seaweed but we were still able to enjoy our morning coffee on the beach under the cabanas. Main pool had a steady flow of activities, but we preferred the swim up pool despite being on the 3rd floor.

The staff was amazing.. while you can expect a gift shop to be pricy… $10 for a small Red Bull, $28 for a small sunscreen and $26 for a small aloe lotion is a bit extreme. The entertainment was great and the rooms were comfortable. The Spa was AMAZING.. Ana and Evelyn made the massage portion of romantic package perfect and the steam room/dry sauna and hydro therapy pool were just perfect for us..
