The room was nicely furnished with two very comfortable beds. The was a small refrigerator and coffee maker. The shower was great. The toiler paper holder was loosely attached , it needs to get repaired. There is public parking close by for $28 per day which is a savings from using the hotel's valet service.

This place is in a great location and the staff are all amazing. Check in is easy, the people are so friendly and it's a quick walk to all the places I like to go in Portland. It's just such a good atmosphere! My issue is with the room itself--It was tiny. Like almost Europe tiny. That would have been ok but because it was so small the a/c vent blew air directly onto my face all night and I couldn't get away from it. The only solution was to turn off the thermostat. It's not my first time staying here and I remember thinking the same thing last time LOL. Not sure why I booked it again...

Normally, I opt to stay away from downtown Portland, however, I wanted to give the Marriott a shot. The room was quiet, clean and welcoming. The TV only allowed cable TV without the ability to stream from the phone. Not a big deal as I wasn't in the room much and didn't need the distraction. The hotel is situated perfectly for exploring downtown Portland with restaurants and coffee extremely close. Downtown Portland is getting better, however, walking around after dark can be a little sketchy with the high amount of homeless people. This was not an issue for me as I'm used to traveling solo with my head on a swivel. However, if traveling with small children, I'd opt for a different location.

This location was convenient and close by food and coffee places, also close to shopping areas. The view from my room was also nice. The only thing for me was that the air conditioner was kind of loud. But other than that I enjoyed my stay. The attendants in the lobby were also friendly and helpful.

At check in I was told that the room did not have a good view but it was in a very quiet area of the hotel. There were men working in the adjacent room and there was a vacuum noise that was quite loud so I was not able to take a planned nap. After 2 hours there was a knock on my door and the workmen said that they needed to place a dehumidifier in my room. It was so loud that I could not even hear the TV . They said that I might need to turn it off at night in order to sleep. I requested and got a room on another floor and then went out to dinner. When I returned the dehumidifier was again outside my door. I was told that there were no other rooms available. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Good room size (corner king suite) and location. FYI, room service is every 2 or 3 nights or daily if requested. This was not explained at time of check in and not a big issue on this stay for us. Front desk apologized for not informing us. Overall a good hotel option if you enjoy staying downtown and walking the city.
