A beautiful historic building. Simply breathtaking lobby. The rooms are nice, beds are nice, the shower oroducts are fantastic! Like everyone, they are short-staffed, but the staff they have is as attentive as can be be. The valets can't keep up during peak times, small staff and understandable, bit know they charge $54 each nigjt for overnigjt parking, which is beyond ridiculous to me. Love the place, but man, that's a lot of money!

overall staff was very friendly and didn't seem pretentious like other hotels. They were some delays in service but they were very accommodating and friendly. The area wasn't too pleasant one side was great the other side was awful. The rooms need to be updated along with the carpet. It had the vintage feel but also a old attic feel to the rooms.

Nice historic hotel. Furnishings and decor dismal and doesn’t match the ambiance. Limited amenities. Bathroom probably the smallest I’ve ever seen in a higher end hotel. Price doesn’t match experience and is not competitive with other offerings in the same area.

The Benson was better than I could've hoped for

The hotel is beautifully maintained. Our room was clean, comfortable, and a great retreat between our activities. The ambience was lovely, we came back to live piano playing in the lobby after one of our dinner reservations. The location is very convenient. We were able to find delicious coffee, a bakery, shopping, and the famous Powell's bookstore all within walking distance.
