Although the shower was over the bath, it wasn’t possible to use the actual bath, taps wouldn’t turn, I had previously stayed in this room and used the bath on that occasion.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, but the rooms were extremely outdated with stains everywhere and things coming off walls. The bed was very sunken in the middle with springs coming through which made it very unpleasant to sleep on and the shower was very temperamental and didn’t work half the time so that both of us couldn’t shower unless we wanted a freezing cold shower. Wasn’t worth the money paid at all.

This is second year we have stayed here to catch early ferry to France. Beds were comfortable. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Place could go with a good clean and redecoration but cheap.

We have stayed here 3 times and every time it has got better we always have the family room as myself , my daughter and 2 grandsons stay here absolutely beautiful hotel staff are very friendly and nice would highly recommend staying here this is the only hotel we stay at when we visit Portsmouth x

Needs a refurbishment

Room 202. The beds were awful, had a big dip in it and spring or something poked out. Had to sleep above the duvet as used that as a buffer. The carpet and chair upholstery was stained and dirty. Mouldy, dirty windows. Bathroom dated but clean, kettle and cups all good. Didn't stay for breakfast as it didn't start until 8am, too late to not rush it and get to out next destination.
