No information or instructions provided during check in and we had to figure everything ourselves including how to book at the restaurants. We loved the grounds which were really beautiful. Food was okay but limited selections in buffet. The worst part was the smell in the room which did not go away and smelled like sewer the whole stay.

I liked everything about that resort. The people were kind and respectful. The food was excellent. I could not complain about this hotel. The only issue I had was we could not get any reservation in any restaurant because every single thing was booked and that was my only disappointment, even though I did not get the VIP treatment in the hotel I was pleased with everything. Maybe next time I will get the VIP treatment but on a scale from 1 to 10, I give the hotel a 10!

The property is beautiful with plenty of activities to enjoy, and overall we had a great time. However, I was disappointed by the limited gluten-free options at the buffet and some of the on-site restaurants. Additionally, most of the staff were not familiar with gluten-free dietary needs, which made dining a bit challenging. It would be helpful if the menus were clearly marked with gluten-free options to better support guests with dietary restrictions. That said, the food we did have was delicious, and the overall experience was very enjoyable.

I had bedbugs and roach. I callled at 11 pm at night and was moved into the ADA ground floor unit from the original pool / ocean view that I paid for. They told me I could move the next day. After hours of waiting and calling front desk repeatedly, they said they had a room for me. It was the same room I moved out the night before!!!! They were so disrespectful. I also paid for two adults and it was only me with my 5 year old son. Check in was also a nightmare. Waited two hours to check in only to find out that I needed to come back later and WAIT IN LINE again to get my key!!! Not a great experience.

What an experience I dont know where to star check in was super slow we waisted the whole day Rooms are moldy we came back sick because of it the smell is horrible and the kids club was the worse ,the water park isnt just for kids there was more adults than children the water gets really dirty also really hot ..the hotel is really fun if you looking for a quiet place this not the one theres always someting going on,also everything extra is really pricey..the stuff is nice but slow ,ah and the cherry on top was thero a roach my huspand woke up on the middle of the ninght cuz he felt someting on his back and boom it was a roach ..this hotel is masive really big so prepare yourself to walk a lot Other that that the food is amazing the buffe has lot of variaty I dont think i will come back

Lopesan Costa Bávaro is a good resort. Noticeable areas all around the resort and room that can be cleaner, have had to get sheets changed multiple times due to them being dirty. Resort is huge and beautiful, you will get at least 10k steps a day. Breakfast buffet is good when you get there on the earlier side. Get a towel down at the pool or beach early for a decent chair. Workers aren’t seen that often by the pools and when they are, drinks can take a while, but there are 2 bars that aren’t far walking distance.

The pool was nice. The buffet was good. The Valley was lousy, La Bohem was gross. Getting towels was a challenge every day. We had to call every day for new towels. Some staff didn't even look like they wanted to be there. The kids areas were pretty boring and stuff didn't work. They have a no speaker policy that wasn't enforced. Would not recommend

Same bad food everyday, no smiles or customer service, everything is far apart, the beach is a port for boats and has plastic on the beach and water. All you see is 60+ boats at the beach. Check in is the worst and over 90min wait. CHECK OUT was even worse. They turn the check out line into check in. Our private driver waited for the hotel to say it was okay to let us go. Our driver said to be downstairs at 12:15 and he would leave at 12:20. We were outside waiting but he made us miss our flight because he listens to the hotel and not us the people that hired him. I even went to checkout early in the morning b/c I knew at 11am it would be crazy and tried to avoid all the confusion. I saw how bad the check in process was for myself and all the reviews and videos on youtube. I tried to be helpful and paid attention to the things I could not help. I paid for $150 for private transportation with Viator but they really work for the hotel and not me. I’ve been going to all inclusive for 30+ years and now I’m taking my family 2x a year all inclusives. I am very experienced in what is supposed to happen. They people just care about them selves and screwing you over for a little money. Don’t waste your time at Lopesan or the Dominican Republic. We went here for the water park for my daughter. It wasn’t worth it. Jamaica or St. Lucia is much better. Who puts a water park at the farthest point from the beach. I also took video and pictures of the check in and checkout. Reviews are righ

My stay at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino was the worst vacation experience I’ve ever had. The most shocking incident was when the bathroom ceiling in my mother and mother-in-law’s room collapsed while they were inside. It was terrifying and dangerous, yet the hotel only moved them to another room with no apology or concern. Service was consistently poor — room service took over an hour, towels and toilet paper were not replenished without multiple calls, and the minibar was never restocked despite repeated requests. Most staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly, with only a rare few showing genuine hospitality. This resort is unsafe, unprofessional, and not worth the cost. I would never return and do not recommend it to anyone.
