We travelled in a group of 11 (3 families) during march break. While the resort was full, it never felt crowded. room was great, service was great/friendly. The food was very good (better than I expected) - tons of a la carte options, the buffet, the burger place, and "ocean eats" for delivery to our room. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that since we booked through Expedia (without paying extra for the butler service), we were essentially given a butler (Jose Jiminez) who was amazing! He booked all our dinners, and invited us to an exclusive beach dinner. He also reached out and came to visit us every day (we never had to chase him) to make sure we had everything we wanted. If we needed anything extra, he was available by text and took care of everything we asked for (extra drinks, room service questions, extra towels, rides to and from the lobby (upon arrival and departure). The resort was great, but Jose truly made our experience memorable. We asked him after our first night if we could move rooms to be closer to the rest of our group and he made it happen (he even moved our luggage himself). If you are going to this resort, ask for Jose. he was amazing! I don't think we could have asked for more from him.

This trip was everything we hoped for and more. The Blue Team at El Beso were like family and truly made our stay so memorable and fun. We were there to celebrate my Fiancé’s 30th birthday and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Special shoutout to Enrique for treating us like family! We loved this resort so much we ended up missing our flight and booking an extra day at the resort. Please I beg, do not listen to any other reviews regarding food. The Food was PHENOMENAL. truly. The food was flavorful and plenty to choose from. Everyone was so accommodating from the staff at the front desk to the waiters and bar tenders. Thank you to the bartender Francis at El Beso. He was so kind to us and made the pool days so fun. Truly have no complaints about this resort. Will definitely be returning. Oh also another major plus : THE CATS!! Pls bring cat food bc there are so many beautiful playful kitties. :)

We had a fantastic vacation at Ocean El Faro! The hotel is beautiful, the food is fabulous and the staff are friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and kept to high standards. The one thing to note is that the main beach is not good for swimming, you will need to walk a little off the property to a lagoon with shallower, calmer waters. Unfortunately there are no beach chairs there. We didn't mind but some people might. Overall we loved our stay there and would go again!

I found the overall property not to be a 5 star experience. - Rooms were dated and smelled and not properly cleaned at all throughout our stay - the restaurants food was subpar at best - the service was almost non-existent. Even at the a la carte restaurants. We were offered a "VIP" dinner one night - they tried to serve my young child raw fish - when I flagged this - they didn't care - we ended up walking out. They didn't even offer us drinks - we got stuck in the look out elevator for what seemed like an eternity, I couldn't tell you how long it took, but well over 10 minutes - and it was only because tourists heard us screaming that we were even helped. We were not even offered an apology just a ride to our pool after and some water. - barely any washrooms considering the size - bars were limited - almost zero service - only one person was helpful at one of the pools Justine - we tipped everywhere and still got no service - grounds were not well maintained

The app for dinner reservation was not working, we was obligated to contact someone for reservation all the time. when we arrived The staff was trying to sell us vip pass so we can drink any liquor and use any bars you want they said. I thought we can do that because I had paid for all inclusive. In some restorants they had meals that you have to have them was not everything free(a big turn off). And one day before leaving we got an invitation from one of those special restaurants that we was prohibited to eat they set us up the service was good but food was terrible, we like family couldn't chew the steak that they served in our plates. The half of clients or more left without eating was a terrible experience. The only thing that i enjoyed me and my family was the beach outside the property of hotel because we had limited access we was not VIP. Very disappointed 😞

The resort itself was neat and cleaned highly recommend the food not so great but overall the stay it self was nice a lot of walking for sure (they do have golf carts for transportation in the resort) which it’s a plus , pretty big resort never had any issues to access beach chair for the pool area, rooms were always cleaned shower was a plus hot & cold water never had any issues. The beach is amazing! Pictures online does not compare to in person most definitely looks better than pictures for sure just a stunning resort to stay in with a spouse & children’s. my only complaint was the steak restaurants & Mexican don’t really recommend the food was not what we thought it would be. The buffet was our overall pick never disappointed!
