The rooms were nice. Large balcony with great chairs. We loved the pools and beach - lots of options and chairs were easy to come by. The food was just good. Our favourite restaurant was Blue moon. We could always find lots of options at the buffet for breakfast but lunch was not our favourite. Bar service at the pool or beach depended on your tip.

Ocean El Faro had great pools with amazing lazy river, perfectly situated in the middle of the hotel complex. I enjoy staying there because it was a lot of shadow and was close to restroom and convenient snack bar. Our room was on 3rd floor and had very comfortable bed with firm but soft mattress. We also enjoyed our stay because our butler Kevin made that stay very enjoyable. He was sending us daily activities and helped to reserve dinners to great restaurants we went to. He always had a nice smile on his face and was making sure we were helped and satisfied.

A really excellent experience. There are other resorts out there that are a lot more expensive, but this one to me seemed top-notch. No complaints, except the fact that we requested two beds and they only gave us one bed and a sofa that folded out to be an uncomfortable bed. Enjoyed the food. Staff was great. I would definitely go there again. And access to the beach was fantastic. There are people who try to sell you stuff, but they are not aggressive. Once you tell them, no, they leave you alone.

It was so good to have an assigned Butler ( Kevin) at the beginning of the stay. We contacted him throughout our stay there and we received a quick response with resolution to our issues. For example, restaurant reservations, water in our room, phone number to room service and so on. That was a really nice feature. We appreciated it a lot.

My stay at Ocean El Faro was great, I always love the Ocean chain of hotels. They have great amenities and a lot to do on property. My only complaint is the lengthy sales pitch to join membership, this I did not appreciate and the fact that they disguised it as you being offered a gift for celebrating a special occasion. They are too aggressive with the Lighthouse pitch, way too lengthy and heavy, no one wants to spend hours of their vacation listening to a sales pitch worst on a special occasion. Please do better where this is concerned, if the offer must be made, keep it very short so persons can get back to their vacation.

The room was big, spacious but outdated furniture and with a horrible, horrible, horrible smell of humidity that didn’t went away, even the elevator smell bad. I had 4 rooms in my reservation and all were the same. The food in the buffet was 5 out of 10. The first day one of the rooms they give me was occupied, when I open the door people was inside, horrible moment.
