The Expedia Rep made this trip a great experience for us. He helped us with room issues and was very quick to response and fix them. He also made us dinner reservations which we loved. We were a family of 4 (with two little kids) and the kids pool and lazy river were our favourite spots. Food was plentiful and lots of options.

We had a fabulous time. Most of the male staff went above and beyond. The female staff was hit or miss. The food was very good with a nice selection daily. I feel the resort would benefit by training the staff better in the hospitality industry. Overall, we had a great time.

I liked the coffee shop did not like the customer service, it took us over two hours to check in and hotel gave us a room that was less that what we paid for, it took us another few hours to straitened the situation. Hotel staff can definitely use some additional training for customer service

The only person who made our experience great is Adoni, he helped with reservations and was always available for questions. He made sure we got what we needed. However, property needs a lot of improvements. Our shower was broken, we found medication from the previous guests in the room . The steam room at the spa was not working and other staff wasn’t helpful.

Just got back from a week long trip with 8 people. All in all we had a fabulous time. The room was more than adequate. We did need to get bedding for the pullout couch late at night, but because of our Expedia rep, Adoni, we got what we needed within about 15 minutes and the kids were able to go to sleep. Adoni was the MOST HELPFUL AND KIND PERSON! He was able to get dining reservations every time we asked and worked with me until I was happy! For those that did not book through Expedia, they experienced very difficult times getting restaurant reservations. We did not have to worry about that because Adoni helped us every night! We texted back-and-forth using WhatsApp, which was so convenient. He even made my birthday dinner incredibly special by arranging for a beautiful cake and a sparkler! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this man. I would give the food about three out of five stars. Rio and Gratzi were our favorite. The buffet for breakfast was great as well. We also had a great time at the Teppanyaki. The pools were amazing, the bar staff were always so happy to see you. My favorite was the lazy river! Such a great trip!

This property was beautiful, but the staff were very slow to check-in/check-out, and took a very long time to complete tasks, get food, etc. Our room was alright, but some of our travel companions had rooms that were flooding or leaking water from the ceiling and it took the resort over 3 hours to find a replacement room. I also had to wait over 12 hours to get my bracelet/room key recoded to access my room as nobody was available at the front desk or guest services. Adoni, our Expedia concierge, was helpful in getting us dinner reservations and ensuring we had a good stay, although the reservation system was not overly effective.

Do not stay here, or if you do refuse to leave a credit card on file for their ‘hold’. At check in they asked us for a $200 hold on our credit card to be returned at check out. We did not damage, lose, or charge anything during our stay. We were a quiet family who caused no problems. After check out the $200 charge was reversed and a new $440 charge appeared with no explanation. I tried to contact the hotel and they kept referring me to wrote to an email and would not tell me what the charge was for. The email never responded 3 months later. I finally had someone I know who works at the hotel look into the charge and he said it was for two lost room bracelets. The room bracelets were cut off our wrist at checkout! I’m still trying to have this disputed with my credit card company. The rooms, food, beach, and service were fine. Just fine. For the quality of the resort you can spend your money elsewhere which hopefully won’t try and rip you off.

Cons: -check in took a while -Was initially difficult to get dinner reservations since we were not a part of Diamond Club - some bathrooms were very dirty or not working around the pools -rooms were very nice but some areas need some TLC - buffets need some work PROS: - Estalin, our Expedia Concierge really made our trip! Initially we were unable to get reservations for dinner, but Estalin helped us out, was very easy to communicate with all week, was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had! -Estalin even went above and beyond for 2 different people in our large group - 1 was celebrating a birthday and another couple an anniversary, and he had their room decorated and special surprises at dinner or in their room! It was very appreciated and showed his attention to detail - dinners were good- but favs were appetizers at Oceanside, dinner at Zen Tempenyaki, Rio Brazilian Steakhouse ! - servers at all restaurants and all the bartenders were extremely friendly! - kids and adults loved the lazy river!!! The slides looked small but people of all ages were enjoying them on repeat! Bring your own floats if you want them, you can even bring a ball to throw around - Alberto was also helpful with dinners and getting us into the waterpark next door! Definitely go with tempered expectations as service could be slow as my biggest complaint (but I have found that with other fancy hotels in Punta Cana as well), but it is very family friendly!
