Beautiful grounds, spotless , friendly staff, The food was good. I wish there was more Mexican food available poolside. Should have tacos and nachos cooking on an open grill. Coffee shop was excellent. Yummy treats and icecream. The shows were awesome.

My wife and I went here for our 10-year anniversary after enjoying our honeymoon at a Sandals resort in Jamaica. We thought Sandals-Ochi was great, but Excellence Playa Mujeres is in a league of its own. It’s comparable in price to 7-nights at Sandals (not cheap), but worth way more. The entertainment/shows was okay at best (just like Sandals), but everything everything else was 5+ stars! Don’t think twice. Just book it!

Spent 4 nights at Excellence Playa Mujeras! Every minute was amazing and we will be back!!! From the moment we walked in the door to the last somber final walk to the lobby every last staff member was friendly, passionate, kind and GENUINE! There are a variety of restaurants depending on what you are in the mood for. Few of our favorites below. Lobster House is a MUST, even without lobster on the menu, lol! Clam Chowder was heavenly and the tuna minion was to die for!!! For sit down breakfast, the Kitchen Table was our favorite because it had so many options. Plus mimosas and bloody mary's make any vacation breakfast just a little more exciting! Aroma was a popular spot in the morning and evening! Specialty (espresso)coffee and pastries, ending with sweet treats including ice cream was a favorite at night. Pools everywhere from the party, swim up bar to the serene lazy river, with over water hammocks and in water lounge chairs. Relaxation for every traveler. First night we enjoyed a burlesque show that was so good, but it was also so hot (June travel)! We chose not to go to any other shows but heard they were all amazing. Finally, although its not required, don't forget to tip!

This was pur 4th visit to Excellence and loves it again! Food and drink were just as amazing as the friendly sraff and service. The property is aging and had some room malfunctions but they were addressed really quickly. Cant wait for our next visit to playa mujeres excellence!

Second visit in a Terrace Plunge Pool suite. Beautiful beach and well kept grounds. Restaurants nice and clean. We ordered room service everyday and the food was not as good as our first visit, but service was great and usually a 45 minute minimum wait. Mini fridge on first day was lacking snack wise, but after requesting a restock and providing preferences there were no issues. Rooms could use a simple refresh with new curtains, artwork, and outdoor rugs. Staff was friendly and overall great service.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Excellence Playa Mujeres in early June 2025. We had a great time. The rooms and resort were very clean and staff was helpful and friendly. The Grill had really good steaks and we enjoyed the nightly entertainment.
They made a candle out of towels for my birthday!

Everything was beautiful. The food was good, especially considering being all-inclusive (particularly spice & basmati). The staff is the main selling point (shout out the pool bartenders, they kept us laughing). Never a long wait for a drink. We had a private romantic dinner reservation for our anniversary that was included as well as other perks. We truly loved our time. All that and we are not even part of the Excellence Club.
