Upon arriving, we were billed too much; they realised and voided the transaction and rebilled, so $1500 stay cost nearly $3500. Told 2 days went abck to them and another staff member advised it would be 3 days, after 3 days, we were told 7 days for the voided money to be back in our account, but it took 7 days, and no compensation was offered, just told sorry we can't do anything about it. - So I was down over $1600 for the whole trip - why didn't they just credit me the small imbalance? Then there were renovations taking place for the last three days in the kitchen, so limited kitchen facilities. Again, no compensation offered, just a letter on our door the day before they started. Then, to top it off, Friends also had someone walk into their room while being intimate - what a classy joint.

I did not like the mould in the bathroom around the edges of the ceilings and the shower door was broken and so was the side panel was very loose. The towels were very thin and old and frayed. Loved the outdoor seating lovely and private at 306” the room was large and clean but the pillows were smelly

Self catering unit A4 at Club Raro was excellent. Mostly new electrical kitchen products, really good sized room. Would definitely book the same unit again. All staff were very professional, friendly and respectful. Highly recommended.

Food: basic nothing to highlight here. Bed: Terrible! Too soft and too short - my legs hung out the bottom. Also reservation by hotel.com websites is misleading. I paid over $1100 for 2 twin beds & got to 2 single beds. Rooms were tiny. Bathroom: atrocious! Dated, mouldy especially in the base of the shower. Internet: worked well, no issues. TV: 1 local channel and the Aerial did not work. I asked reception to sent someone to have a look - the issue was never rectified. I will never stay at this hotel again & do not recommend. In saying that, I must not fault the staff they were lovely and are trying to work within the confines of an establishment that has no love and care from its owners no more.

We booked in for 11nights, our self contained room was very outdated had mould in the shower. No out door seating, the aircon unit next door was in need of repair & very noisy outside our bedroom window, we informed reception 4 times over the course of our stay & finally 2 days before we left it was fixed.

As soon as we arrived at Club Raro, the staff were all very friendly and approachable. Technically, we were not supposed to be able to book into our room until 2 pm, but seeing as we arrived on the early morning flight and got to Club Raro at about 8.30-9.00 am, we were given a voucher enabling us to have some breakfast and allowed to relax in the resort while waiting for our room to be ready. After a short wait, relaxing in the reception area, we were taken to our beachfront room. Our room, which looked directly out onto the ocean, was clean and fresh. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had all the amenities that you would expect - air con, small fridge, kettle, coffee/tea, etc. The only thing we found was that the room could become a little stale-smelling when locked up for any length of time due to no ventilation in the bathroom. Meals from the restaurant were all delicious, with a great variety of choices. And with breakfast being available until 11 am each day made for a leisurely morning if we wanted to lie in bed a bit longer. The cocktail menu was extensive as well as delicious. We hired a car, picking it up from the airport after we landed, but there is a Polynesian Car Hire desk at the club, and we would highly recommend getting a car or scooter to get around. There is a free shuttle bus between Club Raro and sister resort The Edgewater. We would definitely recommend Club Raro Resort for those looking for an adults-only getaway.

We stayed here for the night after returning from Aitutaki and returning home. I had stayed here prior to covid so wanted to see what it was like as an adults only resort now. Hubby had the buffet dinner which he enjoyed, I ordered a seafood pizza which was nice, but enough for two. We stayed in a newish room which was fine, but had no tv and was very close to the road, so you did hear cars going past. The outdoor sitting area and pool looked very nice. The buffet breakfast was probably the best in our stay in the Cook Islands. I would stay here again.
