I arrived at the hotel around 12am on Friday due to unexpected holiday flight delays. My original booking was for check-in on Saturday at 11am, so I understand that I was early. However, because I was traveling all day with my son and arrived extremely late, I asked if it was possible to check in early and pay any difference in price. The manager informed me the total would be “around $700,” and because I was exhausted, I agreed. It wasn’t until I got home and reviewed my charges that I realized I was billed over $700 for that one night—while the original two-night stay together was only about $500. That means the same exact room cost me over $700 for one night, when the other nights were roughly $250 each. This pricing does not make sense, and I feel I was misled and taken advantage of in a vulnerable moment after a long day of travel. I was not clearly informed that the early check-in would result in such a drastic price difference for a single night. The room was very basic not worth $700 a night.
