We stayed here for 2 nights on level 3 We had kids running back and forth the hallway at around 9.45pm stomping their feet. Then Around 10.45pm we got woken up again by a knock and run, then got woken up again by an extended of time from people screaming and yelling. The carpet's got a big stain marked on the floor. Unfortunately we had an unpleasant stay.

Booked 2 single rooms 5 momths in advance to celebrate my friend's 60th birthday (we were seeing Chocolate Starfish at Ulumburra). Disappointed on check in that we were allocated rooms on different floors and hotel booked out so couldn't swap rooms. I had previously arranged for a bottle of wine to be left in my friend's room which it was, and she was rapt. My room didn't have an openable window or door which I need to sleep but others may not mind that. Room was generous, bathroom clean, shower hot and heater left on to welcome me. Would definitely stay again but give clear requests at time of booking. Overall, great. Next time fingers crossed for excellent.

Water leak of Bendigo.

A bit disappointing when first night we had a huge water leak in the middle of the room, staying on the middle floor! Emptied a bucket twice between 1am and 7am. Not impressed when reception said “oh it’s leaking” before I said why we wanted another room! Knew about issues obviously but still put us in that room. Upgraded to a newer room for the second night.

Historic old building, large room, there was a dressing room, (!) very large bathroom with a full size bath. No room service, or phone in the room and only basic TV. It was clean and decorated in a period style but also dated. Mini bar was one packet of crisps and one choc bar only, although wine and beer etc. Only green tea and instant coffee was provided. There is no parking but there is some round the corner. We came on Sunday but then had to pay after 8:30 the next day, and move the car Fortunately there's an app for that! Staff were very lovely.

So excited to stay here as I stayed at a similar historic hotel in Ballarat and loved my stay. This hotel is tired. Creaks, blinds and curtains are dirty and carpets a trip hazard. Live wires in bathroom and chipped/ mouldy spa fitting. Dinner was ordinary (we were a party of 5 and no one was happy) I was just sad. Location fantastic.

Unfortunately our first room looked into a service area and was quite noisy. I raised this at reception and we were moved to another room which was quieter. Having booked early I thought the rooms allocated were not as expected. Thought we would have a room facing onto the street.

Historic building in the heart of the town. Our room was clean and mostly quiet, except for big noises that everyone would be hearing. Clean room, decent bed. Smart TV wasn't working, and WiFi was spotty at best. Minimal extras. Would return as it was good value and well-placed.
