Mae is the star of this motel!

Our second stay here. It is a convenient halfway stopover between our home and our son’s. We will return. As in our first visit, Mae, who works the breakfast buffet, was the highlight of our stay. If anyone deserves a tip, it is she.

The room wasn't cleaned very well. The corners of the tubs where it meets the wall/floor of the bathroom had dirt piled up. The bathroom door and walls need to be wiped down. The carpet was fraying as you enter the room. The breakfast wasn't impressive. The best food was the waffles. The hot water for the grits wasn't very hot and the grits weren't able to cook too well. The sausage was just sitting in water and soggy. The property felt safe and the front staff was friendly enough.

Smelled like cigarettes

The hotel was nice however our room smelt horribly like cigarette smoke. Due to the hotel being sold out we were unable to get a new room. We asked for air freshener and were told they would bring some to us; it never arrived. Overall left a bad taste in our mouth that we paid a decent amount for a room and it stunk all night :(

Traveling for a tournament with two 17 year old young ladies. Positives, location, amenities, breakfast options Negatives - check-in staff was friendly however, in the middle of check-in with others behind me waiting to check in late Friday. The front desk person took phone calls and handled other business while weary travelers were just waiting to get their room keys to go up and rest for an early morning tournament. within 5 minutes of getting to the room we killed a roach. Upon further inspection, the floors were not swept and there were hair and crumbs all around. The last morning we were there as I was getting coffee, staff come out to the breakfast area and scolded a room full of adults about coming into the open breakfast area to eat breakfast before the time posted on the open doors. Staff stated the lights were off so why would anyone think it was ok to come in an get breakfast before the time posted on the door. The time posted on the open door was 7 am however the food (eggs, sausage, biscuts, etc) and scolding was around 6.15am. I have to assume it was ready around 6 am. Odd statement by the staff to a room full of adults when the food was ready to not be in there eating. I'd like to draw attention to the fact the cook staffer, came in the room, and said no no no to around 7-10 grown people 30 years old . I welcome a phone call to share photos of the dirty room.

The people who work there make the stay that one star extra. I was greeted in the parking lot. The front desk said hello before she even officially started work. That is a standard that should be replicated. I had a long drive and the friendliness soften the blow of the long day.

Front desk personnel were great, room was clean and beds were comfortable. The only issue was the shower / tub drain was slow. We didn’t use the pool, hot tub or fitness center as it was a quick overnight and back on the road.

Staying at this property was very disappointing. There were roaches in my room. The people in the main door was missing so there was a hole in the door. People in the hallway could see inside the room and I could see into the hallway. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower curtain had black spots on it. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. There was hair and dirt on the floor. The overhead vent on the ceiling was dusty, rusty and dirty. I contacted the general manager. I feel her message was very generic and she gave me half my money back. I feel that I should’ve been fully refunded considering the condition of that hotel, I would never stay at that hotel again and I do not recommend anyone else. Stay there
