The staff was kind and welcoming however the room was the weirdest i’ve ever been in. Toilet seat was broken resulting in us falling on the bathroom floor when trying to use it when we first arrived. We alerted the staff of this asap and nothing was done about it the entire stay. The room had three beds stacked beside eachother with no side tables. The so called shower aka foot tub had no curtain so water went everywhere. plug ins were ran through and did not hold any charger and our friend was charged €25 to come up to our room.

**Horrible Experience – Do Not Stay Here!** I stayed at Alta Villa in the middle of summer with my two kids and my mother, and it was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was absolutely filthy, the AC wasn’t working in the sweltering heat, and there was no Wi-Fi at all. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they were completely unhelpful and said there was nothing they could do about either issue. The bathroom was disgusting—dirty and clearly neglected—with rusted pipes and a terrible odor. I was so appalled by the conditions that I left after just seven hours. I immediately contacted Expedia to request a refund, but they’ve been unable to get in touch with the hotel, and I’m still fighting to get my money back. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not worth the stress, especially if you're traveling with family.

Uninhabitable Bathroom – Avoid (Health Hazard)

The location is excellent, and the staff tried to help, but my room’s toilet didn’t flush for 3 days, and the shower flooded due to a blockage. I had to use a communal basement WC—unacceptable for any hotel. No maintenance was provided despite complaints. Age/rundown decor is one thing, but hygiene and basic facilities are non-negotiable

The managers were very friendly and attentive to our needs . However , the toilet was broken and the little curtain in the shower didn’t prevent the water from coming out of the shower space and as a result we had huge puddles of water all over the bathroom preventing us from being able to use the bathroom . Room service did dry it once we asked and then the manager gave us free towels to place on the floor that otherwise would have cost 2 Euros every time you need it a new towel- the air conditioning was great

Great location for walkability and proximity to train station but amenities could use updating. Had some issues with the bathroom especially - there wasn’t a shower curtain initially (staff came and installed one after a day) and the shower itself is very small and the toilet didn’t flush at first but we were able to get it to work with a quick google troubleshoot.

Although the rooms are very basic they look old and in need of some decoration but they provided us a good base near the main transport hub for the city and close to very good local restaurants. Staff were helpful and always on hand.

Absolutely Pathetic. I stayed at this hotel for 3 days, and all 3 days my toilet broke down. They would send a plumber after 2 hours hence delaying all my plans. The rooms are not clean and the charging pins are near the door and not near the bed. I was promised breakfast for all the problems with my bathroom but they denied it when I went to claim it. It’s an unclean unmaintained place.

This hotel was absolutely terrible, trash even, I would have rather just spent the night outside. First of all, the walk to the hotel room from the lobby was totally unsafe, there were hazards everywhere, we even went to an area without a ceiling- what if it was raining?? Next, they charge you for every extra towel you use, and they only give you 4 for 2 days, that is genuinely insane, I’ve spent my time in many hotels in Italy and I have never seen someone do this before. Back to the shower, it was dangerous, I should genuinely sue. The shower sprayed directly at the hairdryer, and there was no curtain so every time you showered it would get the whole room wet- but guess what you can’t use towels or you get charged??! Again, the bathroom was constantly making noise, and dripping. None of us could sleep. And finally, even though there is a lot more to talk about, the beds were practically glued together- there was absolutely no space. We booked as a room of four and this could have maybe fit 2. Definitely not worth the price, spend more money and go to another hotel.
