Ideally located. Expensive for the level of service. Airconditioning is weak or not working as it should. WiFi & TV is intermittent. Standard of cleanliness is hit & miss. There was a lack of ‘customer focus’ amongst the staff. I would stay there again but would first seek an alternative

We had a wonderful stay at Starhotels Michelangelo! The close proximity to the Vatican was outstanding—we were able to enjoy peaceful early morning walks to St. Peter’s before the crowds arrived, which was truly unforgettable. The hotel is set in a very quiet location, perfect for relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always making us feel welcome and cared for. We traveled with my 75-year-old father-in-law, and the hotel was very accommodating for older guests, which made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. A perfect place to stay in Rome, especially if you want to be close to the Vatican. Highly recommended!

Everyone was very friendly and the hotel is beautiful and nice. The breakfast was outstanding! The only thing I didn’t like was that the hotel was the location. It was somewhat far from many of the touristy places so you had to order an uber and they were expensive.

The hotel was spacious and clean. The area had shops and restaurants, and was very close to the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. It wasn’t walking distance to the other main sites in Rome such as the Colosseum, Spanish Steps etc but the front desk staff easily called a taxi when requested. Check in and Check out were smooth and staff were friendly. However I did feel uncomfortable during check out when the person the front desk who checked me out asked for a tip for the front desk staff. I have traveled to many different countries , cities and this is the first time this has been asked of me. I asked if there was a box or envelope to put the money in , and he said no I can give it directly to him and he’ll put it in the back. It felt a little suspicious and scam like.
