We were at tournaments in Lions Gate and it was a very convenient stay. They had a kitchenette clean bathroom and clean bedding. Somewhat of a tight space but decent for the price. Breakfast was included. Nothing fancy but convenient and clean. It’s condo style. Staff are nice breakfast is buffet style.

The room was clean but the stove took 4 hours to cook something on it that could have been better and one of the lights didn't work. But overall it was a great stay friendly staff they served you quickly as possible we will be staying again.

AC DOESNT WORK AT ALL. Inrequested a fan and was brought one but the building is old so unless its pointed on you at all times it will kot keep the room cool. My window's opened up fine, but couldn't keep them opened because im on the first floor and people can see right in the room to the bed. These room was clean bed a little on the harder side and squeaks. Staff was amazing and nice, the other guests were nice always said hello or good morning. Breakfast was ok, same thing scrambled eggs, sausage patties biscuits gravy, and fried potatoes, toast, bagels, waffles, yogurt and cereal or oatmeal, hot tea coffee orange juice or apple juice. I need my room cold all night, so I probably wont stay here again. But it is a good place to stay if you dont need the cold to sleep.

I stay several times but this is the first time that the bathroom smells like smoke and weed. There’s also party going on in one of the rooms. Other than that, I will still stay hoping that next time I stay, the room/bathroom will not smell like smoke and weed.

As I was making my way to Sacramento from Southern California, I carefully reviewed ratings and locations near the airport and came across Lion’s Gate. The reviews were outstanding, and it seemed like a solid, convenient choice and it absolutely lived up to (and exceeded) expectations. As I entered the neighborhood, I immediately recognized the street signs and thought, “This feels like a military base.” It turns out Lionsgate sits on the former McClellan Air Force Base property. The history is still beautifully present. The former Officers’ Club is now a restaurant and bar, still proudly bearing the name. As someone retired from the Coast Guard, there was something deeply comforting about staying on this property. The sense of history, service, and community was palpable in the best possible way. My room was quiet, warm, and comfortable. The rate was very reasonable, parking was free (a huge plus), and everything I needed was right there. Breakfast begins early which I truly appreciate as an early riser and it was a full, warm breakfast served with genuine hospitality. Lionsgate offers tremendous value, a unique setting rich with history, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I will absolutely stay here again on my regular trips to and from Southern California. Highly recommend.
