Walls are paper thin, we could hear everything in room next to us. Main light flickered continuously . ROKU TV didn’t work and front desk had no resolution to fix it. Breakfast items all looked stale. We weren’t expecting much for the price but I definitely won’t refer or return.

At least it's clean.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the property and room was very clean. Check-in was quick as usual the host was neither friendly nor rude. The room had a queen bed with the furniture and just enough space to walk around but no comfortable sitting spot other than the bed. For a budget hotel this is somewhat to be expected. The bed was springy but not plush with medium firmness. All of the furniture was old, dinged/scratched, and mismatched. The bathroom is where I have major concerns. Instead of a standard shower/tub combo they had a corner shower, it was not tiny but not comfortable either. The pipe cover for the shower was disconnected, the pipe has tape sticking out and was all marked up. The work done was functional yes, but professional certainly not. Worst of all the bottom of the shower was patched. As soon as I opened the shower door I could see sealant applied to the shower basin. About 2/3rds of the shower floor had a white coating and it was obviously not just a temporary fix. It had been there long enough that the edges were pulling up, trapping water under the edges leaving a space for mold and mildew. If you are on a budget and need a quick sleep this place was clean but in my opinion that shower basin handyman special is not acceptable. Since this was a work trip I had to shower anyways and I learned the water temperature was set so low I put it to full hot and even after running for a while it never got more than warm.

The check in process took some time...not an easy one, lots of paperwork...The floors were dusty and the extra pet charge was a surprise...The breakfast is very poor. No free drinking water for the customers anywhere to find...I wouldn't stay here again.

Clean and a good.value

This Motel was in good condition it looks like it was recently remodeled. They allow dogs which is nice and the price is fair and the staff was friendly. Nice small buffet breakfast including hot waffles. I would have given it a five-star but their Wi-Fi wasn't working right and I need Wi-Fi when I'm on the road

This place did me a kindness and exersized great compassion to me in my time of need. My father was in ICU dieing from cancer, and at 8 oclock at night I decided that i needed to stay at the hospital with him. With expedia's rules I could not cancel my reservation. The hotel got in contact with me and offered a full refund at zero charge. I never expected this. Honestly I was convinced that most establishments just don't really care, but this place does. To whomever there initiated the refund I owe you my grattitude, and you will always have my business when I'm visiting salem. Thank you for the kindness you gave to me. I will make sure to pass it along. God bless you.
