This is kind of a weird place. The one thing that drove me crazy was the bed is on top of a metal box. Every time you sit down or roll over the metal pops and bangs. Room had a funny smell not horrible but noticeable. House keeping was good and cleaned everyday. Breakfast was better then some and worse then others. Coffee was fresh. Would expect a little more from the name brand but ok for short stay. Has some good places to eat north and south of the hotel.

Hotel it self was great. But ran my high profile vehicle into an unmarked curb area in the back lot that should have a warning sign posted in front of it or needs to be painted red!

Breakfast was great!

Comfortable and clean. The area felt safe and it was close to the university of Utah where I needed to be. The breakfast was delicious.

Dog barked all night in a room down the hall. Reported it to the front desk. They asked me if I knew what room the dog was in. Shouldn’t they KNOW ? Didn’t come to investigate either. No hot water in the shower. Refused to refund cost of my one night stay.

Exterior looks old but new renovation it looks brand new and is super clean. The staff is so nice. I wish all hotel staff were this nice. Amazing donut shot just down the street as well.

The property is great but I found paper in my door where the door latches. I asked to get my money credited and the manager chased me down the hall with his friend I felt very unsafe and he call the police on me. I complained about the paper being in my door and he said he would look at the tapes with the police. The police told me they don't have time to wait while he looks at 12 hour of video. All i did was asked for my money back since I was a women staying alone in the room. The manager was unprofessional and very hateful towards me.

We were in SLC for Roots Tech and got a same day reservation. Were pleasantly surprised with the facilities because we (erroneously it appears) thought State St might be a little sketchy. Real close to onramp-gets you to downtown in 5 minutes. Clean. Modern/ minimalist decor in yellows and grays. Felt safe. Beds great. Staff very attentive. Price was under $100. Breakfast had eggs/ sausage plus usual yogurts, toast, waffles, juices, etc. One downside, we were on the first floor and heard people in the hall going to eat breakfast.
