Okay for one night. Provided early check in, however room was not very clean. We asked for sheets to be changed due to finding several hairs and were told there was no longer housekeeping available.

Nice, quite, comfortable room - larger than expected. Nice shower. Parking was 1/2 block away. When we checked in they gave us an access card to the Frost Bank garage. It was only $15 a day to park. Outside pool is extremely small with no view other than of the walls of the hotel. Hotel is technically on the Riverwalk but not on a part that has any businesses or activity. The nice part of the Riverwalk with all of the tourist and restaurants is about a 15 minute walk away. There is a Holiday Inn on that part of the Riverwalk. But this Express Inn is not that location. Breakfast buffet was hot but not that great. However, the lady (I think her name was Lucy) in charge of the breakfast area was EXCEPTIONAL! She kept everything stocked and was ALWAYS THERE (NEVER more than a few steps away and NEVER out of site) to help or for any questions.

There are less than 10 parking spots on this site and definitely not for trucks. They also charge a high fee parking per night starting at $20 I don't recommend staying in this exact one, other holiday inns might be better but check parking

The primary reason we choose to stay at a Holiday Inn Express is because we can usually count on a great experience in a safe and comfortable room. This was NOT that experience. Upon arriving, the room was a bit stuffy and warm so we turned down the thermostat. After a couple of hours we realized that the cooling system was broken so the AC unit was merely nothing more than a fan, circulating the already stale and warm air. I let the front desk clerk know this and she stated no other rooms were available and instead was only able to offer me a box fan. In addition, we were prohibited by the hotel from opening the windows due to the building being old and considered a landmark. My wife and two kids had a horrible night of sleep as a result of the warm, stuffy and humid environment. Both my wife and my son woke up with a headache. The next morning upon checkout I told the morning desk clerk about our experience. To say she was indifferent was an understatement. Her response was a simple monotoned "I'm sorry about that" and proceeded to remind me to leave the room keys in the container in front of me. Absolutely. Unacceptable. The only reason I gave an overall rating of 2 stars was because their breakfast was better than average and the room was clean. But to be treated with a "tough luck, oh well" mentality is far from what we would call hospitality and concern for the customer.

First, I request a kingsize bed and ended having two queens, a/c never got to work. They have no parking spaces and have to park in a public parking that cost me half of the price of the room. Ridiculus!!!
