Alaia is a beautiful hotel with super friendly staff & rooms are cleaned daily! We loved our free 1 day cabana rental however, our server only gave us menus and never came back to take our orders. I was really upset that there is not beach access to get into the water to swim but than again the water was not attractive and there was a horrible smell some days. Huge turn off for me being as though I'm a beach bum at heart! Drinks at the pool bar are overpriced and watered down. Bring your own liquor! Spa prices were insane and overpriced almost double what you would pay in the States. The local market around the corner is also very high. We paid around $13 US dollars for a standard pack of cookies listed for $25 Belizean. Overall, I enjoyed myself but highly doubt I would return for a 2nd trip.

Loved this resort ! Everyone was so nice, patient and personable ! The property is clean and sits perfectly off the beach. The pool is breathtaking and views immaculate. We stayed during their slow season but as hands on as they were, I know busier seasons are also handled with ease. Their restaurant and bar had good food and drinks. Definitely recommend to couples and families. I had a lot of questions before coming and they were so responsive and accommodating.

Needs more directional signage coming from Tropic Air to get to the hotel. Food was amazing great chefs. Eric handles your luggage with and gave a very good detailed breakdown of the property.

The hotel itself is gorgeous. We were in room 1356 on the top floor and the suite was huge. It had 3 balconies: 1 in the kitchen, 1 in the living room, and another in the bedroom. Each one had its own little view, and sitting out there at night with the breeze was something we'll never forget. The room was spotless the entire stay thanks to housekeeping coming daily and we didn't have a single issue with it. The food at Alaia deserves a mention too. You get big portions and it's really good. We never left the table hungry.
