Comfortable hotel and welcoming front desk staff. Great location and we enjoyed the bar, Churchill’s. The hotel itself is sadly looking very tired in its original 1997 un-renovated form. The elevators are quite literally the slowest of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The hotel deserves a renovation.

El recibimiento en el Hotel Barcelo fue espectacular. Como miembro VIP de Expedia recibimos upgrade de nuestra habitación y se nos otorgó servicios de executive. El hotel ademas de ser muy agradable, brilla por su limpieza en todos sus rincones. El trato del staff es MARAVILLOSO. Especialmente, queremos agradecer al jefe del restaurante que nos reservó una mesa maravillosa para la cena Nochebuena, que fue maravillosa. Large room, attentive service. The location is very central. Main issue was noise pollution, not sure if from other rooms or the street below. Also, elevator is slow and you sometimes have to wait for quite some time.
