Great stay with nice rooms, restaurant, and is near some other places to eat as well. The best part was definitely the view from the sauna and hot tubs, which were excellent as well.

Delightful stay at Hotel Hamar, in fact it was so wonderful we returned at the end of our trip for another two nights. The staff is cordial and responsive, the food is excellent, breakfast is fresh and plentiful, the room was comfortable and elegant, the views of golf course and mountains were perfect.

What a gem this place is! Right on the golf course outside Borgarnes, this hotel offers beautiful views and delicious food. Of course there is also sauna and hot tub.

We spent a night here on our way back to Reykjavík. The rooms were clean, stylish, and functional. We especially appreciated the outdoor hot tub and sauna, which were perfect after a long day of driving. Though it’s a bit outside the city, the breakfast was excellent and made the stay worthwhile.

The staff was very welcoming and jumped right on a problem we had when the shower flooded. They even gave us a wake up call to catch a glimpse of the northern lights. The food was beyond our expectations. We don’t normally stay at hotels associated to golf courses so honestly didn’t expect much but this place is well worth the stop over for the view, food and nice, really nice people. We look forward to going back and trying out one of the cabins.

A Wonderfull Stay!

What an amazing experience! Our room was lovely with an amazing view of the glorious mountains. The staff was very helpful - we appreciated the 2 am wake up call to advise us of the Northern Lights. Breakfast was very nice as well.
