Upon entering the hotel, the staff weren't very friendly. The hotel needs firmer pillows, and the mattress was uncomfortable. I liked the cleanliness of the hotel, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

We were visiting SCAD Open House and booked our stay at Cambria. Check-in was quick and easy - we got our key cards and went upstairs only to discover that our room was not cleaned after a previous guest: messy bed, towels on the floor and food leftovers. So we went downstairs to get another room and found out they didn’t have 2 queen beds rooms available anymore so they gave us a king bed room instead and promised to give us the room that we had ordered. The king room was nice, 6th floor, lots of windows, clean and comfy. But only one bed. So next morning we went down with our bags to check out of the king room. They told us they now have a 2 queens room available, we got new key cards and went back upstairs. The key didn’t work. Went back downstairs. They replaced the key cards. We went back to the room. The cards didn’t work. Went back downstairs. The lady from front desk was apologetic and took us back to the room to help us unlock the door. Her master keys didn’t work either. So we went back downstairs, left our bags with them and rushed to get breakfast and to the SCAD. When we came back in the afternoon they said our room is now ready so we got new key cards and our bags and went upstairs. The room was indeed a 2 queens room and was clean and ready for us. Unfortunately it was on the 2nd floor not on 6th like we’ve got the first time so it was a bit noisy. Otherwise everything was fine - beds were comfy, everything was clean.

Realized I had booked incorrect dates when checking in. The lady at the desk dparma2 (Nov 7/25), said that she would authorize a cancellation refund for the original booking with Hotel.com - so we booked for two nights at a much higher cost - but we were so appreciative. Ends up thd promise wasn’t honoured and the Cambria refused even the single night refund which was within our legal context as we cancelled it in advance. Very disappointed we trusted the staff - or perhaps the management that didn’t support their own staff. Be warned!!

The hotel looks modern and updated, and I really liked the built-in Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom — that was a nice touch. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The biggest issue was the lack of staff and cleanliness. It took over 25 minutes just to check in because no one was at the desk. Our first room smelled like sewage and had hair all over the toilet. The second room looked better but had stained sheets, and later we found hair all over the shower. There were also no cups for the Keurig and no housekeeping staff available to help with anything. This hotel clearly has potential, but the staffing and cleanliness problems ruined the experience. I will never be staying there again when I return to Savannah.

The room was extremely clean and nice, as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Truly one of the top places I have stayed. I would have liked to extend my stay there.
