The property has some area closed out due to updates they’re doing. No actual lobby. The rooms were dirty and need some updating. The front desk agents were very kind and helpful in trying to figure out our questions. Although not a major issue we were given vouchers a few things but could not use them because the staff had no way of reaching these items as the building was closed off not a major issue but also not the responsibility of the front desk agents to have that kind of thing ready. GM should have an organized solution for when things like this occur in a hotel. Again then biggest issue this hotel faces is just how dirty the rooms are mold on the vents dirty shower and bathrooms. Carpets stains everywhere crumbs, dirty sheets. Needs a major upgrade.

DON'T STAY HERE! No water or coffee in the lobby. Took a long time to get into the room. Long waits at front desk. Room was dusty. Giant ROACH crawling across bed. Carpet was dust caked and dirty. Area around fridge hadn't been cleaned. Drips down wall. I LEFT after showing staff these issues and being assured a refund, which they didn't give me. Management would not answer my calls or respond to my email.

The staff at check in-out, Valet, & restaurant staff were very nice & accommodating! However, checkout was at 11:00 & cleaning staff knocked once & immediately opened my door at 8:40am!! There was not an extra lock protection on my door( chain or anything). Again at 10:15-the same thing-1 knock & opened the door!!! This is not acceptable!

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The building and rooms were beautiful. The only issue I had was my room #431 had a very unpleasant odor. It was almost as if it had been cleaned with a sour mop.

My sister and I stayed 3 days for her birthday celebration. The experience was fantastic! The staff from front to back were pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Aside from making sure we were had what we needed, they made the extra effort to help us enjoy our celebration by providing us a nice bottle of sparkling wine and some glasses along with a happy birthday card. The historic building was so interesting and beautiful and has easy access to the 2 adjoining restaruntants with more friendly staff and good food and drinks. The room we had by the river was roomy , very comfortable, and beautifully furnished. The only little negative we found and wasn't the hotels fault, was the noises from river street at night till 11 or 12 if you didn't have your TV on, but not bad.

Hotel was good but we had a bag of prescription drugs disappear from the room along with another bag with 2 hats. Room design was poor in the sense that look was more important than function. Era bed frame looks good but blocks movement and TV viewing from one bed. As to the missing items, management had no idea as to a solution. Thinking someone else maybe had access to the room or housekeeping has gone rogue.
