Tasteful Two Bedroom on Warren Square with Parking by Lucky Savannah

The bright exterior of our two-bedroom, two-bath Harper House cheerfully welcomes you to this unique vacation property. Located directly across from Warren Square on the first floor of a historic, two-story Victorian home, Harper House can comfortably accommodate up to six Lucky guests for a true “live like a local” Savannah experience.

The understated elegance of the living area comes from the high ceilings, original, decorative hearth and tasteful furnishings. A wall-mounted, flat-screen TV and queen sleeper-sofa modernize the living space. Original pocket doors, a classic feature in Victorian homes, separates the living area from the Premium bedroom. The original hardwood floors extend into the Premium bedroom, where you’ll find another decorative hearth, mirrored armoire and a carved wooden headboard above the king-size bed.

Spacious, warm and bright, the completely renovated, eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything you’ll need to prepare meals at home. Just off the kitchen is the second bedroom, which has a queen bed and fully renovated, en suite bath with a large vanity.

Step outside to the cozy, private courtyard where a bistro set waits for you to enjoy your morning coffee, and a gas grill is available for bbq-ing on a sunny Savannah afternoon. Nice location

Pros:The location was very nice, just on the eastern side of the historic district, walkable just about everywhere within a few blocks. Trolley pick up is just outside your door. The place was clean. Parking is right outside your door in a lot. Bathrooms updated.Cons:Its a good place to stay if location is your main objective. The place is old and a little run downish. Everything in Savannah is older and has charm, this just didn't have a lot of the charm part. You enter thought the back fence which is fine. I believe there are other units in this large house but ours faced a parking lot. The master bedroom has an old wooden sliding door that probably needs replaced. There are 2 bedrooms and neither had a TV. This might be ok for some folks but we had some kids and it would've been nice at night have the option. Also, I did contact the property manager via text and never got a response about a blanket for the sofa bed. We managed, we're not picky.Overall, we had a pretty good time but doubt we would stay at this particular location again.

Great location

The location was perfect for exploring the historic district. The apartment was quaint, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. It was great having a dedicated parking spot. We specifically wanted a place with an outside area, which it has, but it wasn’t anything notable and ended up never using it.The management company was so helpful. They let us store our luggage at their office while we were waiting for check in time, and went above and beyond answering our questions.

Great location

Perfect place for a family near lots of places to eat, etc. Especially if you plan to attend the annual St. Patrick's day parade. Love the park across the street and appreciated the representative helping me access the property. She was very patient!

Close to everything

We came to Savannah to drop of our college student. I love the location. It was close to Funky Brunch, Java Burrito, and Leopold’s ice cream. A short walk to River Street. It is in a quiet section of Congress Street. Check in was seamless. Directions were on point. We will be back. Thank you!

Great location

Harper house is in a good location close to most everything. For a house over 100 yrs old it is well maintained. Instructions to enter the property was easy to follow. The home was very clean and had no bugs as mentioned in previous reviews. The lack of water pressure when showering was a negative. Don’t flush the toilet when someone is showering because the water pressure gets worse. The king mattress and sofa mattress are uncomfortable. The queen bed was very comfortable. Pros: Great location Ease of access of property Very clean Well stock with necessities Communication with Lucky Savannah Cons: Lack of water pressure King mattress had no support and is sagging in spots. Sleeper sofa mattress very thin and lumpy.

Cozy, nice and exactly pictured. Parking was a plus. Front bedroom does pick up street noise as the day traffic picks up. Being across the street from Warren Square was a big plus, just stroll across street with coffee!

Quick Get-away From Middletown MO

My husband and I rented the property very last minute. The process is easy to use. Lockbox and codes work properly. Except the front door lockbox, to exit needs opened. For safety reasons we wanted to test that exit and we were unsuccessful to open that box. Other than that all was very nice. The location is very good on the square.

Problems

This property is in an excellent location and is very charming. However it has issues. On Day 1, there was a faint sewage smell that got progressively worse. By Day 4 it was intolerable and was reported. At the same time, the property manager notified us that an exterminator was coming over for a "routine" spray. However, we were then told that there was a flea issue in Savannah. At the same time, they were trying to get a plumber to visit. That was cancelled because we were not allowed in the property for 2hrs due to the extermination. When the plumber finally came in, of course nothing was found. The property manager did visit and concurred that it was inhabitable. We were moved to a different house, worse location, no parking. When we went to pack our things, we found live fleas in our items and everything has to be laundered because of the smell. Supposedly we are supposed to get a refund. However it has been a week now, and we have received nothing. Would NOT recommend!

Perfect location and plenty of space in this two bedroom two bath Victorian rental

The location couldn’t have been better. We had a small dog with us so being so close to one of the squares with a park and lots of grass for her was perfect. We also enjoyed the space that the first floor apartment provided with two full bedrooms two full baths, a nice kitchen, and family room area. Really the only negative is you have to enter from the back gate area it would’ve been nice to come through the front door, but we realize that that’s how the apartments are laid out in this home. We were close to everything right off of Broughton so walking distance to numerous shops and restaurants, also walking distance to the historic riverfront areas.

Charming place in a great location very clean- only concern is the lack of security lights outside by the door(gate) and the motion light on the outside door was not always working. Also the gate with the deadbolt was not very secured-anyone could push the deadbolt through the hole.

Lovely old home in a perfect location.

We stayed at the Harper house for one week while at an art workshop. The home is in a perfect location near shops and restaurants in the older section of Savannah. The home is old and has quite a bit of character. Don’t expect perfection. I hope I look as good when I get that old!

Door key pad did not work to 2 phone calls and multiple code try’s to open door ,Heard from neighbor n this is a constant problem at this unit. not happy to be standing outside in the heat with our luggage unable to get in .
