We have stayed at the crown spa a few times now. We know Scarborough well and find this hotel in an excellent position with everything within walking distance. The room was comfortable and clean and we also enjoyed the swimming pool and gym areas. The staff were very polite and friendly.
Just a two night stay for an event only a stone’s throw away. The room was spacious and bright, a great view of the south bay through the double doors, very comfortable bed with two armchairs a small table.
We had two wonderful meals in the evenings, along with a fantastic breakfast spread. The staff were very friendly and easy to talk too. Above all a very lovely hotel in a beautiful location.
Lovely placed hotel, parking is roadside so no security. Room was very dated needs money spent to make it feel like you're in a nice place. Staff were nice.
Only issues has was grohp of lads ar 2 -4 and 6 am talking in corridor meaning really bad sleep so defeats the object bed ??? .
Nice hotel & great spa facility’s.
Parking is a little bit of a nightmare but paid £5 for two days for on street parking.
Bar was nice as well.
Hotel is on top of a hill so be prepared to get your steps in!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
A good and enjoyable stay. Service was good but rooms could do with a bit of TLC. Breakfast was good. One of our parties room was in a poor state which upon complaint to reception we were promised a upgrade on next visit but we still haven't received an email on this.
There is nothing 4 star about this hotel. The room was like walking into my grandmas house. Very old and ourdated. Floorboards were creaking everywhere you walked. The rooms weren't soundproof at all which meant we could here the room upstairs walking around, talking and their TV all night. The room view was horrendous facing a chimney which mean we couldn't even open the window. The room was extremely hot with no AC, just a basic fan. We booked 2 nights but left after 1!. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.
The room was very “vintage”. Window had to be kept open with some sort of wooden block. We had dinner at “Taste” inside the hotel. The starters were fine - watermelon and feta salad and a prawn cocktail. For our mains we had sirloins and we asked for them to be rare - one arrived rare and one was medium with soggy oily chips. £114 total for our meals and I definitely don’t think it was worth it at all. No pints on tap on day 1 of our stay as the taps weren’t working (over Easter weekend). On day two, one tap was working because a staff member “jippoed” the tap somehow (which we know because bar staff were chatting away as if there were no customers present). Ordered a simple plate of chips for my toddler which took a whole hour because apparently the system didn’t put it through to the kitchen??? Staff were all really miserable, short off and not very helpful. We asked for a cot in our room and it was simply plopped in there for us to set up (cot was also stained and dirty). The highlight of the trip- a whopping £5 for TAP WATER to be brought to our room as they had NO BOTTLES OF WATER!!! We were brought two Carlsberg branded pint glasses of tap water and I was flabbergasted. Was very excited to leave this premises. Will not be returning. It’s a cash grab of a place with very little to offer young people/families.
I wish I had listened to the reviews. This place is not worth the money we paid, boiling hot room, view was awful, beds uncomfortable. Had to pay more money to park up the street.... Safe to say we won't be returning.
We arrived and checked in. The room given was t what we was expecting and a lot worse than we have stayed in previously and this stay cost more than our last one. The room was dated, small with a tiny TV and no fridge. We asked to swap rooms but the only rooms they had left had a charge which I felt I shouldn’t have had to pay but I did because the first room
Wasn’t good enough for the price paid. We was given a different room which looked okay to start with but this has no fridge either and we didn’t realise so the porter did help us by getting one. The TV on the bathroom didn’t work and the TV in the bedroom onmy had an indoor arial so everyone we moved or changed channel the TV went fuzzy. I did explain this to the receptionist but she just smiled and said ooh that’s not good.
During the night the room
Was extremely warm, there was no air con and the window would only open slightly due to us having a balcony which we was told no one can go on.
When we used the spa facilities the jacuzzi was cold and one of the saunas wasn’t hot enough.
Rooms are dated but clean.
Take a free parking disc otherwise there ia a charge for one at the hotel. You can purchase a permit in the hotel for street parking near the hotel.
We booked early, so would've preferred a sea view room with long windows on the 1st floor .
Great hotel if going to the spa theatre.
As a type one diabetic who does not drink alcohol or coke my wife was unable to get a drink in the bar as there were no other sugar free options and the coffee/tea machine had been turned off.(10 o'clock ish).Other than this small matter an excellent stay was enjoyed by all.
Beautiful hotel. The staff were great. the room was lovely and the bed comfy.
They clean every day.
Very quiet too
The only thing is the bath plug doesn't work so we couldn't get a bath this time.

Great, view, very spacious room, comfy bed, good bathroom. Evening menu for vegetarian poor, electronic systems failed whilst signing in. We enjoyed a great 24 hrs touring local sculptures and fabulous food at Lizzet and spa for breakfast.
