⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our first trip to Antigua and stay at Royalton CHIC Antigua exceeded every expectation! Ignore the negative reviews and go with an open mind. The resort is smaller, peaceful, relaxing, and far more personal than the huge crowded all inclusives we usually visit.
Our clean third-floor room overlooked the quiet pool, and the sunsets were absolutely unreal. Photos truly do not capture Antigua’s beauty.
The staff was kind, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. Anytime we needed our minibar refilled, it was handled quickly. What impressed me most was how seriously they took my severe shellfish/seafood allergies. Every restaurant and buffet asked about allergies, and servers reassured me meals were prepared carefully. I have NEVER felt safer eating anywhere, even in the US.
The highlight of our trip was CHEF FRANCIS. After meeting him during Antigua Night and complimenting both his food and karaoke skills, he surprised our group with a complimentary private dinner. It was honestly Michelin-level. Every dish was perfection, including filet, chicken skewers, scalloped potatoes, and banana flambé. One person in our group adds salt and pepper to EVERYTHING and didn’t touch either shaker. That says it all!
Huge thank you as well to Jenin and bartenders Jayson, Diane, and Rachel for making our stay unforgettable.
